If there is still an active RotS thread, it eludes me in search.

In any case, big news here:

    https://theholofiles.com/2025/04/07...ization-re-release-announced/#google_vignette

@DarthInternous has kept this one quiet, which only makes it cooler.

Yeah, this deserves its own thread.

Awesome, just awesome. I can't wait for those annotations.

Yeah, I'm in. I saw the listing and price awhile ago, but without details thought it wouldn't be worth it. Way wrong!

They should release the other 2 prequel novels in this style.

If they ever reboot Star Wars

I would accept it if it was more of an adaptation of the dark lord trilogy than a remake of the prequels

And now the hunt begins for the UK edition of this that I can actually buy, or I hope Blackwell's offer the US version.

Is this the first time they've done something like this since the annotated Heir to the Empire?

Did you ever look at the 20th Anniversary HTTE edition? As there the annotations are by certain paragraphs. As to what they'll be, all bets are off.

Not to add insult to injury, but I hope you didn't buy the standalone ebook version when the entire prequel trilogy omnibus ebook is almost always cheaper.

Hmmm... I wonder if there will be a note about the mysterious Jedi on Tellanraeog.

A bunch of awesome insights and stories. Easter eggs references, stories about development, insights into being a writer. And a whole lot more

The final annotation count is closer to 170

I know the UK will carry it. Beyond that I can't say for sure

Hm, I've been thinking about tracking down the hardcover for a few years now, just because I love the book so much and I expect to wear out my paperback soon. That might help me justify this cost, because I loved the HttE Annotated Anniversary edition and this sounds fantastic. :vader:

The book being out of print in hardcover for nearly 20 years played a role in us wanting to bring it back.

I haven't bought a physical Star Wars book in years (lack of space for books these days), but even with that price I'll most likely make room for something like this.

It’s beautiful. Love that this book has a ribbon in it too, that’s something I’ve been wanting for Star Wars books. I’ll get it for sure despite the price.

Was it intentional for the cover to be evocative of Episode III concept art, such as on the cover of the 2005 art book?

I prefer Dymocks support local jobs! (but I get that its not always practical)
