Someone at ILM must have been bored.

Darn, they have to take things down and ruin people's fun. They couldn't leave it up for since the DVD is coming out in a few days?

 

It's been removed.

 

It may not be the LF people.

Some Best Buy stores in like, the midwest screwed up on the release dates, so some people have the DVD already. Heh.

Then again, the edit cut was the one that was leaked to the internet...

 

There's a lot more places than that that "screwed up" the release date. There's even some places around here that intentionally start selling the DVDs as soon as they get them (usually a week before the official sale date).

Regardless of that, I've seen the easter egg and I think it's just stupid. It has absolutely nothing to do with the movie. It looks like some animator was just bored and decided to make a 3 min video. It might have been better if Yoda was actually doing something, but he doesn't even move around that much.

 

The one in Final Fantasy with the cast doing the dance from thriller was much better.

 

Is there going to be a blooper easter egg like on the other disk's?

 

Let's hope so!

I'm hoping maybe they'll make a big deal out of it, since this is the last movie ( ) .

 

My favorite one is still the R2 dome falling off in Episode I and Liam Neeson's saber flying out of his hand.

 

Ok, I was watching the ROTS and noticed that the saber that was being used by Sid. in the fight with Mace. Was in fact Anakin's! Yes, that is right Anakin's saber had a red glow and Palpatine was using it to fight Mace.

There were blooper reels in the last two movies? wow I totally missed those.

 

I was going to post something about Vader getting his saber from Sidious, but then I found this site on a quick google search. So now I'm a little confused by your post Rob. Are you saying that since Palpatine's saber had a red glow that it was the same one used by Anakin? According to that site (I have no idea if it's correct), Palpatine, Vader, and Anakin's sabers are all different. Palpatine's saber even has a completely different design from Anakin and Vaders.

Or is this something they changed for the DVD? If I remember right, Anakin's saber had a blue blade.

 

Yeah, but they are hidden. I forget how to access them, maybe someone can explain it here, or you can go to a website like DVDEasterEggs.com and find the info about it.

My stupid Sony DVD player won't cooperate with it. I once made it to the "blooper reel" on the Ep1 DVD, but I had to do something special to enter 1138 in the Options menu to get there and now I can't remember exactly how I did it.

 

The blooper real can be find by navigating to a certain item on the main menu screen. You click enter or play or go on that item and the DVD will do something but appear to come back to the menu. Then you enter 1-1-3-8 (10+ 1 on some remotes) pausing after hitting each number and you'll be taken to the blooper real.

I probably don't have the process totally correct, but the link Lori gave will give you the exact process. Or, if you have a computer, you can just tell your software to go directly to the chapter and it'll play that way

And she gets on me about spelling. She thought that she had a DVD player on her PC...classic

Well, I was watching the fight between Sidous and Mace. And they clearly show Sid's saber popping out into his hand. But! in their fighting you well see Sid's saber being a different one. When you slow the film down Sid's is using Anakin's saber with a red blade. Not Vader's but Anakins.
Watch the fight and when they do a close up of Sid. you see the saber pass and it will be Anakin's

 

they probably couldnt make his saber into a stunt saber it is rather odd looking and usually the fights are done with all stunt sabers i was watching some of EP1 behind the scenes and Ewan is useing Liam's saber to practice with Ray most of the time they just have abunch or random stunt ones so it was probably a reuse is all

 

Huh? I think she's saying that she forgot that she does have a DVD player on her PC. I've got two on mine (DVD-ROM and a DVD burner).

As for the rest, I'll check it out as soon as I get the DVD (probably picking it up tomorrow). Sounds interesting.

 

I meant I just forgot that I can use my DVD player on my PC, since I also have a player hooked up to my TV that I usually use.

I know it's there, because I installed it when I built my new computer!

Well, I can't access my number key pad when I'm playing a DVD on my PC, so I'll have to figure out how I got to the easter eggs with my other player.

Ok, after playing around, I finally figured out how to get to the easter eggs with my Sony DVD player. In the Options menu (I can't remember if you're supposed to highlight the THX, but did anyway), I have to hit 11, then Enter; 3, Enter; and 8, Enter.

Yay, I knew I'd figure it out, eventually!

 

There is one on the bonus disk of the trilogy box set. you go to the menu that has the hold of the millenium falcon and you move the cursor thing around to highlight a hidden button and then it shows the blooper reel.

It is on one of the panels in the falcons hold where they are playing with the training remote. If you can't find it, I will look for it myself and tell you exactly where.

 

Yes, I did look there, in that menu, but couldn't find anything else to highlight but was supposed to be highlighted.

It would be nice if you could look, when you get the chance.

 

It's in the video games and stills screen.

You hit 11 or 10+1 then enter. Then the little box highlights.

Then 3 and enter.

Then 8 and enter.

Sorry, I thought the box highlighted by itself but you have to do it this way.
