Det, MI Revenge of the Sith midnight showing

I just wanted to start a thread for the midnight showing. We're planning on the Emagine theatre with an all day tailgating (where I don't bring ice cream), right??

I've sent an email to Emagine to make sure they don't mind geeks like me getting all dressed un for the event, and I'll let you know what their response is (unless they just laugh, that would be embarrassing).

Who plans on being there, and what time do you think we should start?

i'll be there at or before midnight with my " darth vader costume for all four days...awesome!!!

 

Well, seeing as I took May 19th off way back in 2004 I'll be there.

 

I have received word that we are welcome to costume at Emagine for the midnight showing!

 

Qonas, myself and possibly Bare will be there at noon - tailgating for 12 hours. And why no ice cream? I'll be bringing a variety of snacks.

 

We'll also have a grill for 'dogs and burgers.

 

I want to come, I was suppost to meet up with you guys for Episode 2. Or was it Episode 1 at the AMC? But I will be there, hopefully in costume.

 

Ice cream will be there, of course. I should have both types of potato salad supplied as well, not to mention pop of various sorts. w00t

 

I'll have lots diet coke and the strange things I eat. I was planning on being there early, since I have the day off. Maybe I could bring cookies or one of those fruit/veggie platter things as well. We still have the grill we take to the Lions games, so we could bring that if needed.

We have plates, plasticware and cups (someone will have to remind me to bring them, though).

 

I'm up for it!!!

 

Well, I don't have the 18th off (I need to be Scrooge like with my my days off) so I'm at work until 5pm. I could hot foot it out to Novi after but I probably won't be out there until well after 6pm.

I might have to take a nap in my car at some point though . . . I've gotten too used to my schedule and I don't know if I can make it until 2am without a nap.

 

I'll be coming in from Traverse City, so don't expect me until after 4:00, but I'll be there.

That grill of Jon's will be perfect as mine still resides in Washington.

Jay, how many 501sters are you expecting? They are welcome to join us as well.

I'm also going to invite A2-F2 to the festivities.

Also, considering this is one of the few digital theatres in the area, I expect there to be high interest in getting tickets so there maybe a problem trying to get tickets for the didgital showing. Are we going to start an advance tickets sale line, and how soon before should we do it? I have asked Emagine when advance tickets are going to be available and if there will be a problem with an advance tickets line. I will post as soon as I have a reply.

Anyhow, not much longer!!!

 

CTAtigger and myself will be there late afternoon-ish. Let us know if we need to bring anything and, of course, when to buy the tickets!

 

With Joy being off because of the baby I should be able to get right to sleep. After 5 or 6 hours of sleep. I should be up at 1:00. SO look for me around 2:30/3:00. And that depends on how many Targets, Walmarts, and Toys R Us I stop at.


And being the collector that I am I will bring all sorts of Star Wars promotion food.

Thanks for the invite to us A2-F2ers, I'm pretty sure all of us plan to be there in the evening sometime. It will be good to see all you R2ers again (been to long). Any idea when they will start seating?

Beyond that, not sure who is costuming. I probably won't be for a few reasons (big one is comfort... hehe).

 

you can come in costume then strip down right before we go in...we won't look

I received this from Emagine:

"Steve, we are waiting to hear when tickets can be sold so we will post that
information on our web site as soon as we know. We would not have a problem
with a line for advance tickets but you would have to check with the
Fountain Walk Mall Mgt to see if they would have a problem. If we owned to
property around our building, we would let you pitch a tent and camp out if
you wanted, but the mall may not allow it. Thanks."

so I am now in contact with Fountainwalk, I will keep ya'all posted.

I have been inactive for awhlie, but as Episode 3 approaches, my hunger grows.
Anyway,

I was highly thinking of going to a midnight showing for this film, the first 2, I didn't but I figure this is my last shot and I will try to take the 19th off of work, though I probabl need to wait a copule weeks before asking as I just started a new job, and I don't know of anyone so far that wants to go at that time, so I will probably go. I will keep you all updated as to weather or not I make it, I would have expected you were going to Star S.field, but I think Imagine is even closer to me in Livonia, but digital is all good

Sweet!!! Do you know if tickets are available yet?

 

The tickets are not yet available. We're waiting for confirmation as to when they do go on sale to determine what we're going to need to do to get those tickes.

 

I would not be to suprised to see them go on sale during CIII. A lot of people could not figure out why the Episode II tickets went on sale the weekend of CII.
