RFT boots?

I am trying to find an inexpensive version of the boots needed for my RFT costume. Are there any viable suggestions for boots without having to go into the Biker/Engineer or Jack boots. I am willing to order if I need to but the German Jack boots dont run in size 12. If someone can post a link to alternatives or know stores that carry that type of item. Thanks for your help.

 

Normally www.sportsmansguide.com has East German officer's boots on sale for cheap prices, but they don't seem to have them in stock at this time. Those boots are great, i've had them for years and swear by them.

I had seen those and didnt know if they were decent enough to costume in. I also saw a pair at Walmart as well for about the same price. Just not sure what is acceptable for Rebel Legion standards for costuming

 

I'd say the rubber boots are good for an emergency, but you'll want leather boots for the long-term. If you want confirmation for the RL standards, I'd recommend checking with the bosses at the RL.

 

Check out the Rebel Legion forum on this. They actually mention using lace-up, black military boots as an option. They could probably be found in a surplus store easily, and would look much better than rubber boots. Feel free to ask the troopers, they are one of the friendliest bunch of rebels!

I'd echo the recommendation for patience. It took me months to find some jack boots in the right size, and the price was worth the wait.
