In Ebert?s Attack of the Clone review he states:
"Wit, poetry and imagination are specific to the languages where they originate, and although translators can work wonders, sometimes you get the words but not the music. So it's safer to avoid the music."

So is Ebert talking about the films score, linguistics, or something else?

He is definitely not talking about the score.

I've discovered that it's a waste of my time to listen to Ebert, or any other critic for that matter.

The only critic I listen to is me.

Too many politics are involved in the "professional" critic's reviews. They're just columnists, who as GL said in the SW Insider, "don't know anything about film."

Ebert is quite anti-digital and I'm pretty sure that GL is near the top of his "remove from Christmas card list".

What Ebert says means nothing to me.

Since the quote in question had nothing to do with film music, and since this has become an Ebert/critic-bashing thread, I think it's time to lock this.
