Rogue Leader: PC Port?

Any time soon? or at all?

 

I haven't heard of one coming-out. Sorry, but you'll have to save-up about $190 to get Rogue Leader (and a Gamecube).

 

I hear Sithy has some inside info regarding this title, let's see what he has to say.

Actually, you're most probably wrong.

You see, when LucasArts released Rogue Squadron, it was supposed to be an "N64 Only" game. It even had that little "On N64 Only" logo on its box. Of course, it came on out PC anyways. I bought it.

Then LucasArts released Battle For Naboo. It too had the "On N64 Only" logo affixed to its box. In spite of this, I told my brother and one of my friends who is also into Star Wars games that I would be getting Battle For Naboo on PC for my birthday later that year, citing the same reasons that I have just stated above for Rogue Squadron. They didn't think so. Oh, by the way, I got Battle For Naboo on PC that year for my birthday.

Do you want me to state why Rogue Leader is going to come on on PC?

Is it because with Galaxies, Galaxies: Space, Knights of the Old Republic, and Jedi Academy, there's still the slim possibility of a few bucks left in our wallets that needs to go to Uncle George?

 

You've forgotten all the action figures (at least *I* buy a ton of them, I dunno about you guys) to add to that total, JP.

So, Sithman, you're telling me that I can go ahead and get a PS2 vs. a GC? Seeing that the only reason I was considering a GC was for RS2 and RS3.

BTW, this is not a rhetorical question. I would like opinions on whether I should get a PS2 or GC. I REALLY want to play RS2 (and 3 when eventually) along with Bounty Hunter and Clone Wars. My brother and friend both have PS2's so I could borrow their games. I already have a PC. The only reason I was considering a GC instead was because it has RS2 and 3 and that they just reduced the price to $149. So, what do you all think?

I think that if RL were to come out on PC, it would've been announced by now. IIRC, RS and BfN ports were announced within a few months of their Nintendo releases.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some mention of it getting a PC release somewhere too. Possibly in PC Gamer UK. I'll have a look tonight. I'd still put good money on it anyway, as 'Console X Exclusive!!' never applies to the PC anyway and, like Sithy said, all the rest have gotten PC releases - with the current exception of Jedi Starfighter.

Yeah, except all the ports of those games were announced mere months, if that, after the PC release. Not a year and a half later.

Dunno if using homosexuality as an insult is all that cool. I used to do it too, but then a very close friend of mine finally came out of the closet. Seeing what he has to deal with on a daily basis is not fun.

Anyway, I say that RL ain't never gonna make it to the PC. If it does, then Sithman can tell me "I told you so." As for RS and BFN, didn't those come out on the PC in relatively short amounts of time from their console releases? RL's been out for over a year and a half.
