With the main characters being established and politics of the Imperial Senate on display, I think it would be a poignant scene (to heighten the urgency of the upstart rebellion) to show the docking of Tarkin's ISD to indicate the station is underway for full operational testing of all systems. Maybe have a background narrative/briefing that the rebels are discussing about reports of the Grand Moffs arrival and the long game of the emperor and his over sector control. Just a thought...
