Have you guys ever seen the Roseanne show? That show was hilarious, except maybe for the last two seasons. Feel free to discuss your favorite characters and episodes...

It *was* very funny in the early going, especially the peerless John Goodman, and you can see George Clooney in a supporting role, too. But then her ego went to her head and fermented. Pity.

I've seen some episodes here and there when my Dad watches it on Nick at Nite, as well as when my Mom watched it during it's original run. I liked it and I can't quite place when in the show it was, but the two recent ones I saw seemed fairly late given that my dad thought the new Becky had come onto the show by that point. It was alright, but I can definitely see how Roseanne's ego was beginning to have a bigger effect.

One of my favorite episodes was "Springtime for David". It was funny, creepy and disturbing, but it was still funny.

In that episode, David leaves the house and gets a job at an amusement park,"Edelweiss Gardens" and trains to become the mascot of the park "Hans the Hare". They train their employees to be their servants, really. And they get demerits if they do anything wrong and if they get 6 demerits, they have to go to the "correction" facility.

You should see the episode,it is funny. I am not gonna spoil the episode for you,Zaz

For the first few seasons, the show still remains a classic. I mean, Roseanne was at the top of her game, and all of the co-stars were working out well. (To this day, that show may have been the main catalyst for my interest in John Goodman.) But as the girls grew up, and started dating characters that became too obnoxious, once D.J. hit his teens, and CERTAINLY once the last two seasons came up, where they just decided to portray a fantasy existence, then it just went down the toilet.

They say the season finale was planned all along from the beginning of the last season, but it seemed so much like a retcon to make an attempt to reverse the horribleness of the "lottery episodes."

Yeah, that was one of the ones I saw recently and it was definitely the best of them.

It just doesn't get much better than the one where they found their old stash and smoked it. "Why are you so paranoid, Dan? Oh, birds, birds, BIRDS", and Jackie in the tub. "I'm all alone. It's just me, I got nothin. It's just me. It's just me and my ganja." "Am I in the sink, am I shrinking?" LMAO

That episode is by far the best one.

I liked the first few seasons better than the rest: it was more funnier.
