Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith - 20th Anniversary Banner Special Edition War! The last 20th anniversary banner has crumbled, as a contest for a new banner has been planned by the forum moderator, @cubman987. There are heroes on both sides. Competition is everywhere. In a stunning move, the PT leaders have swept into the DMs of the PT fandom's best artists, and kidnapped your submissions to build their ultimate weapon, a REVENGE OF THE SITH 20TH ANNIVERSARY BANNER, with enough firepower to destroy entire forums. As the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith fast approaches, one PT Forum user will lead a desperate mission to create the best banner, and win VIP status!
Here's how the contest will work: 1) Any and every user, and their dog (yes, even the haters)(okay not their dog because dogs can't pass the captcha lol) may submit as many banner designs as they want. (seriously! We even offer bulk pricing! Ask for Cub!) 2) Designs should be 1200x250 resolution. Preferably something related to, you know, Revenge of the Sith. And remember, no loose wire jokes. 3) The previous contest announcements strictly forbade submitting designs in the thread itself. Personally, of course, I wouldn't care if they're submitted in the thread or via PM, but if an experienced mod needed to stress this point, there must be some wisdom to it, therefore: DESIGNS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO ME BY PM FOR CONSIDERATION. DO NOT POST THEM IN THIS THREAD. OR ELSE. 4) Submissions will be due by April 30th, and will probably be narrowed down to three finalists in early May, depending on the number of submissions we receive. 5) Once I have the finalists in, we will vote on them publicly in this thread. We're hoping to have a winner declared by May 19th, the actual day of the 20th anniversary (in case you didn't know). 6) The winner will receive VIP title and colors (it's red) for a month. 7) I'm probably supposed to add something boilerplate about the banner being displayed for a few months over the summer, but let's not kid ourselves, the average uptime for these bad boys is like, 2.5 years. But, you know, the JCF is moving to a different platform sometime, so who knows. As a favor I will shout out @CIS Droid, winner of the previous two contests, the TPM 20th anniversary in 2019 and the AOTC 20th in 2022. To serve as an example of previous winning entries, those banners are below.
@Huttese 101 The OP is absolutely beautiful the perfect opening crawl. And I still can’t believe we’re approaching 20 years of this film. I still remember those clickbait “Is Episode III even good 10 years later?” Articles in 2015 during the height of PT hate… Good luck to all the artists! And congrats to @CIS Droid for the history making for the 20th anniversaries of TPM and AOTC!
Thank you, very excited on how to best go about making RotS poster, also looking forward to the other contestants submissions and thanks for the tag and shout-out @Huttese 101 , been looking forward to this ever since AotC 20th anniversary contest concluded.
You missed the perfect opportunity to (Or in my world, as I like to remember) The: I always at wait for this day. Allah Gold: Even since the last time fights with you hereafter my force has promoted two times. The: Very good, give me surprised and pleased.
I'm working on a few. Trying to find the right concept. Question, is it mandatory for the logo to be on the banner? I didn't see that in the rules.
Darn, that would have been perfect. Have to make up for it by making an even better banner, it must be perfect
No, there is no requirement for a logo or wordmark on the banner. We already have text that explains what each banner is up top.
Yes, this is a great example of what we're looking for in a banner, good job! Broken image! In fact, I think we can just close the contest right now.
I can't see it either @Darkslayer Well, I can if i right click, show imagine in a new tab and declare I'm a living breathing person of flesh and bone and not JKF (a bot) The reason: it's a gif from getyarn. Which uses cloudfare... Cloudfare are the overzealous bouncers of the internet.
