ROTS = BEST MOVIE EVER

guys i was never a big star wars fan and wen rots came out i just had to get into it like i always wanted to. so i borrowed my friends OT dvd box set, and rented 1 and 2. and i just thought they were real good, but rots just took the cake it made me love all the other movies more and want to watch them more and it was so emotional. i mean i dont want to sound like a fairy but, all that as anakin as an inocent cute kid and they did so much to get him out of tattoine and as a teen all the training he had adn the friendships and companionsships, especially with obi wan who took him under his wing as early as anakin was like 7. to see the struggle between them just like that with not much slowness to anakin turning to the dark side just was so emotional and to see this kid just have his ties with everyone go away just like that and become basically lonely with the emporer as his only friend(if that), and to see this good lookin kid with everything goin for him to just have his legs cut off and burn to a crisp was just so sad, like his whole world came crashing down was just so emotionally powerful. its just so wierd watchin the OT i would never have imagined a past like this of the character of vader its just unbelievable. sry i know im draggin on but it was that good! wut do u guys think?

I personally felt little to no emotion while watching ROTS. It?s not a bad movie by any means but the best movie ever? I feel that calling it the best movie ever is an insult to the many truly great movies out there.

But, I agree that Revenge of the Sith was a very good movie, and an excellent end (middle?) to the saga.

I would not go to the "best movie ever" extreme, but it certianly was good!

I hope it's made you a SW for a long time to come!

I loved ROTS. It was brilliant and a worthy addition to the saga.

 

It's MY favourite movie...

 

It's one of my very favourite movies ever and definitely among the best ever in it's field. Best ever is a big and almost impossible one to judge. How do you compare ROTS to, say, Citizen Kane and Taxi Driver. There all brilliant, but in completely different and incomparable ways.

I don't think you can insult a movie. A movie can certainly insult us, however (or at least our intelligence). 99.999999999999999% of ALL movies are hardcore pieces of suck. I try to watch "Best Picture" nominees every year, but almost without exception, they make me want to kill myself. The last one I tried to watch was "Monster." I turned it off mid way through and showered for 17 hours straight because I felt so dirty. Cruise late night cable and find me a good movie on an average night. Unless you like soft-core porn, you are out of luck.

ROTS will definitely be my favorite movie of the year. My all time favorite movie is ESB and ROTS will be hard pressed to top it, but it's possible given a few years to soak in the whole Saga. I do like non-SW movies, but not many.

 

I'm still having a hard time deciding if RoTS is the best of the prequels, but I suppose it will take some time before I can really make that distinction. Recent years have proved that it's becoming increasingly harder for me to sit through Menace, while thus far Clones has remained engaging.
