I can't believe 3 years apart and they still manage to start selling tickets right when C3 starts.

The same thing happened at C2, they started AOTC ticket selling on the Saturday of the event I believe. Ah well, just have to call a friend and have them get it for me.

Just wanted to make sure other people knew who were leaving early.

    Again?!?

Man, I remember last time I had to make my brother go line up and buy them for me because I was at C2! Seriously, who thinks up this stuff? They start selling ROTS tickets when 40,000 of the most hardcore Star Wars fans are out of town. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

    *bangs head on desk*

Oh well, I guess I'll have to ask my brother to buy them for me again.

Bring your brother something nice home from C3 for him for doing that Sithy. I am going to have to get some club members to buy them for me this time.

This makes my so mad. They did the same thing last year! You would think that with the thousands of fans who will be there, that they would wait until the week after! I don't want to come back and realize that the only digital theater near me, is sold out for their mid-night showing! I'll go crazy! Maybe if I ask real nice, maybe someone I know who works near-by there will buy my tickets while I'm away!

No big deal here.....I was out of state at the outlaws, i mean, inlaws before Ep. I and I'll do the same thing this time that i did then: I'll call the theater on my cell and order them and then when I'm back in town I can easily pick them up at one of the automated machines out in front of the theater. I love my AMC-24 :)

Actually, here's my 2 cents on the subject:

I don't think you need to worry.

Theaters owner are more than likely to watch the final edit of the movie on the 19th.

Then they will have to sign the contracts actually securing the movie to their theater.

Untill that is done, they cannot start selling tickets.

Here in Canada, one of the company has mentionned starting selling tickets on the may 6th week-end which is what I believe the more logical time frame.

trust me, I very much doubt that any theaters will be claiming the rights to the star wars movie the week-end of the Celebration... but the again, judging by last time. And if you're theater is indepedant or in a non-competitive zone, he might just start selling tickets around that time.

You guys didn't read the article very carefully. April 20th is not when the tickets go on sale. That's when you can find out the sales dates.

I DID THE SAME THING FOR CII!

I mean, why can't they wait one week? Waiting in line for tickets is half the adventure I think, and they're screwing us for going to CIII!!!!!

QUIGONJINN02 chill They are not. people read the artical wrong.

April 20th IS NOT the day they go on sale only the day they will announce when the tickets will go on sale.

    Chill?
I camped out a month and a half early for AOTC tickets. It is tradition for me to camp for tickets. And when I left my tent in my brothers care for the three days I was at CII, guess what? Tickets went on sale. I don't need a repeat of last time.

How can anyone chill when it comes to SW? Honestly.

But there won't be a repeat. April 20th is not the day they go on sale. Only the day they will announce the sale date. So you'll be fine.

C2 was held much closer to the Premier date than C3 is being held. Theaters Rarely start Selling advanced tickets more than 2 weeks out. So it'll be some time the first week of May I'd bet.

Good bet, but for all we know, they may announce on the 20th that tickets are going on sale. We can hope otherwise I guess.

Well that article wasn't written very clearly. Because it sure sounded to me as if the tickets were going on sale sometime on the 20th.

They won't. It'll take at least an extra week or two to get all the copies of ROTS booked and the times scheduled. You should be home well before the tickets go on sale. Like Uilmuteiz said, it's more likely to be around May 6th (two weeks in advance) that tickets will be available.
