In the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film, as Anakin, Ahsoka, and Rotta are traversing the Tatooine desert, Anakin mentions that he senses the dark side. Almost immediately, Rotta becomes frightened and pulls part of the backpack (in which he is being held) over his head to hide himself. Now, I highly doubt a baby Hutt such as Rotta would understand Basic at so young an age, so that rules that possibility out. But one possibility still remains: Rotta the Huttlet could very well be Force-sensitive. Any thoughts?

I think that was just a case of the filmmakers using Rotta to show that something dark was going on. Like how the enviorment would react to the Ringwraiths or Dark Riders in Lord of the Rings. If you want an in universe explanation, just assume that the dark side of the Force was so strong there, that even Rotta could feel it, and it scared him.

Well he did see the Twilight and sorta told Ahsoka about it, then he waved at her when she said good job. Maybe he's older than we think.

    How old is he anyway?

I agree. From what I understand, there are not Hutt Jedi becuase the Hutts are incapable of using or being influenced by the Force for neurological reasons.

I alwasy thought there was a Hutt Jedi in the EU, who got around by using the Force to levitate.

Even if hutts are force- sensitive, Rotta is too young.

He's about ten years old- usually Hutts spend their first 50 in their parent's pouch but Jabba wanted him to expierence the world at a younger age.

Hutts are immune to Jedi mind tricks, not the Force. There actually has been one Hutt Jedi in the EU- but it seems to be an extraordinarily rare thing.

Then at what age would he be known to be Force-sensitive?

Why is it that nobody stops for a second to imagine a hutt in a Jedi robe with a lightsaber jumping around slicing battledroids?

    ... Messy [face_worried]

A Hutt probably wouldn't need a lightsaber to stomp over battle droids- they have enough power behind their muscle and bulk to crush a dozen with a tailwhip. And they can apparently survive several blaster bolts before anything vital gets hit, so it's really an "uh oh" moment for the droids if they decided to go after a Hutt ;)

Ahsoka will die in Season 4 and Anakin will adopt Rotta as his new padawan.

Yeah, but the mind trick only works on the weak minded anyway. You don't have to have specail powers to resist it, you just have to able to think for yourself.

Rotta: But DAAAD! I wanna go to Coruscant and learn the ways of the Force!
    Jabba: Jedi Pódo...
Rotta: You're just jealous, you're holding me BACK!
