Hmm sounds cool, but wouldn't that lead you in the Yuuzhan Vong territory??

The Yuuzhan Vong are likely not the ONLY other thing out there.

Waru was extradimensional, as were possibly the creatures from both "Otherspace" and the Dark Stryder campaign.

The Nagai and Tofs, however, were learned to be galactic, rather than extragalactic as they believed.

I would stay inside the known galaxy untill I really had a good plan. The good thing about extra-galactic travel is that you never know where you will end up. Pick any sci-fi or fantasy movie, book, comic, tv show, manga, etc... and you can land the characters right in the middle of it. I did one with Metroid, the PCs teamed up with Samus and killed big energy sucking jellyfish. There are endless places to go, it just depends on how much time the GM wants to spend preparing the campaign. I could easly spend several weeks making the stats and rules for Farscape or Highlander or The Black Gryphon or any other sci-fi/fantasy setting.

I've seen it as a 'Net download, so I don't know if there's anything "officially" published or whether it was just true fan creation like the ".Net Guide" series from swrpgnetwork.com,

    Try here.

I don't think it's violating any copyrights, but let me know if it is and I'll remove the link. :)

I once ran a campaign that took place 50 years after the Yuzhan Vong threat. The invaders destroyed by a allied, Republic/Chiss/Imperial Remnant/Ssi-Rukk imperium alliance drove them off once and for all.

Times had changed. The galaxy had become the equalivent of modern day earth. Whereas, the Republic represented a cop off of the States, the Imperial Remnant was the UK, and the smaller nations were represented by Hutt, CorSec, Hapes Consotrium and Sci-Rukk systems.

The Jedi had split into varied factions, based on George Lucas's originaly concept of the Force.

Jedi, Sith, Jenassari, (assorted d6 and d20 force organizations) Bendu, Ashala, and so forth were part of a new Jedi council that allowed all interpreations of the force.

Anyway. It was kinda a "braze new world" theme where. "Was the Galaxy truly at peace," and the ultimate answer is that there can NEVER be a lasting peace. War is the evolution of the galaxy. Ergo the force users foresaw that by their very nature, they couldn't exist without conflict.

Holding an uneasy alliance with the Chiss, the Republic Galactia, continued until a new threat foreseen by the Jedi arrived.

A technological terror from beyond their known galaxy I called "The Cybot Imperium," which was basically an original enemy of the dreaded Uzhan Vong.

Sentient machines moving in on the organic component. Intent on "liberating" any technological creation that was out there.

Kinda like "Matrix meets Battlestar Galactica,"

Anyway, it ran for a good year.

It was my first "shot" at what I called an infinities campaign, ie, something that every "cannon" Star Wars fan realized would not likely happen.

    It was fun though.

    One intriguing thought:

If you go far, far enough, you could hit primitive Earth.

    Just a thought...

    Warrior_of_Mandalore Strikes Again!
