same sound, used twice!

I was wondering how many double sounds people have picked up from the Star Wars movies. I know Ben Burt said he has recycled sounds before. Sure, blasters are easily recycled, but how about specific one-time sound effects?

For example. AOTC and TESB uses the same male grunting sound on Hoth and then again when the senator's ship is blown up at the start of AOTC.

I would imagine that Chewbacca's sounds get recycled a lot, but I've never been bored enough to find out....yet I was bored enough to start this very lame topic.

 

Greedo's voice and same dailog is re-used as background sound in Jedi

 

"Which one's the window cleaner" is used a few times, as well as the Wilhelm scream

A noise the jawas make when they get 3PO from the crawler, and when Owen says "What u trying to pull on me"

 

I know that some of R2's sounds are repeated, but I just figure that's because he's saying similar stuff when the noises are repeated.

 

If you listen closely in the first few scenes in Jabba's palace, you can hear 2 aliens talking, and it's the same dialogue from the Greedo scene in ANH!

They also use the Wilhelm scream a TON in RotJ. 2 different skiff guards going into the Sarlacc Wilhelm, as does the Imperial officer who goes over the railing in the Shield bunker. I'm not sure, but I think it's in there a couple more times, too.

 

Also, I believe the Tusken Raider scream from ANH is reused in ROTJ. The sound is taken from the scene when the Tusken is standing over Luke raising his Gaffi stick into the air repeatedly, and consists of 3 or 4 separate cries.

You can here this again in ROTJ when the fight has just broken out at the Pit of Carkoon, during a shot of the skiff as viewed from Jabba's Sail Barge.

 

In ANH, some of the jawas make an "ayeeeeehaaaa" sound when they capture R2D2. In ROTJ, the ewoks make the same sound when they capture Luke and crew.

 

The clash of a lightsaber can be heard during an explosion on the Death Star's surface.

The crane-thing in the Carbonite chamber makes a sound that reappears in AotC in the droid factory (the things carrying the containers Padmé gets stuck in).

I always thought the sound for the Acklay sounded like one of the creatures from the OT. I think it was either the Wampa, after he gets sliced, or the Rancor.

 

Many of R2's sounds are repeated. In fact, there is one characteristic series of whistles and beeps that I hear all the time, each instance in a totally different context... I can't really type it, but.. yea. And "Ooo tee nee!" Its the exact same sound clip that is shouted by both the Jawas and the Ewoks.

 

In ROTJ, to me it sounds like when han says "Boba Fett" that dialogue is used twice and also when Luke says "point it at the deck" it sounds exactly like the other time he said that 10 seconds earlier, but maybe Im wrong.

 

Ah, the Acklay always reminded me of the Gamorrean guard that gets eaten by the rancor. That squeal...
