Just an update on BG, Caprica, and Tin Man

    1. Battlestar Galactica -

    A. 'Billy Adama Goes To Space' mini-sodes are to start four weeks before the arrival of the BG tv-movie titled Razor. In other words we should have the mini-sodes in the month of October during Flash Gordon.

    B. Razor - This BG tv-movie is to be shown on November 24, 2007 (Saturday). See posts about the viewing party.

    C. Fourth Season - As many of you know by now the plan is to show us ten episodes and then take a mid-season break. The last ten episodes will be shown later in the year of 2008 or at the start of 2009. The mid-season break might be done in part to allow the production of Caprica, The Thing remake, Them remake, and I, Robot 2.

    2. Caprica -

This prequel project to the new version of BG has been in 'development hell' for two years. It is a co-creation between Ronald Moore (BG's executive producer) and the executive producer of the show titled 24. From what I've read of Caprica's premise this prequel seems to be inspired by the following - Herman Wouk's The Winds Of War, Dallas, Dynasty, Bladerunner, and Dune. It will focus more on socio-political dynamics and family drama. We will get a look at how the various cultures of Twelve Colonies operated and what secrets and innovations led to the invention of the Cylons. The Adama family will play a major role in the prequel. If Caprica is granted weekly series status then it will evolve into the First Cylon War.

    3. Tin Man -

This tv-movie is a dark and edgey Wizard Of Oz. Another way to understand this is to take Frank Baum's novel series and see it through the prism of post-modern cyber-punk. Don't expect a plucky gal singing 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' in this version. This tv-movie is scheduled for December or January.

More reports as they become available folks
