Study Finds The World's Funniest Joke
Dr. Richard Wiseman, a psychologist at the University of Hertfordshire has claimed to have found the funniest joke in the world. With the help of the British Association for the Advancement of Science, Dr. Wiseman created a survey containing many jokes and asked readers to rate them. Through his website (laughlab.co.uk) Dr. Wiseman has had over 100,000 people from around the world take the survey. Without further adieu, here is the world's funniest joke, according to Dr. Wiseman:
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go camping. They pitch their tent under the stars and go to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night Holmes wakes Watson up, saying, ''Watson, look up at the stars, and tell me what you deduce.'' Watson says, ''I see millions of stars, and if there are millions of stars, and if even a few of those have planets, it's quite likely there are some planets like Earth, and if there are a few planets like Earth out there, there might also be life.'' Holmes replies, ''Watson, you idiot, somebody stole our tent!''

The way I understand it; they go to sleep in the tent and then wake up without a tent. Watson doesn't realize this. It was a slightly funny joke.
