FF:NSW Screams day o anime!

We have many a fan here, and so lets get some movies cranked out huh?

WHat Im suggesting is a 1030 start (daytime) and then we watch anime till people have to go home!

If u have a good anime film that u wanna bring along on video or DVD then do so, and we'll watch em!

I offer the services of my home, though the cabin can get cramped, and the house TV is crap. If anyone has a better idea, then we can do that instead.

Date wise, it'll have to be a few weeks off. Say mid September?

 

Just gimme the date and I'll try and clone myself so someone can do my shift while I come.

We have a DVD player, several in fact... A lounge room with a lounge that can fit 3, 2 armchairs, can throw bean bags and cushions on floor for a few more

So I'm offering as well, just need fair warning for the olds...

88: DUde, we should really stick to movies. If we start watching series (Like Dragonball) then we'll be doing that all day. And to be honest, I REALLY dislike Dragonball and dont wanna spend the day watching it. And i cant believe u liked Ninja Resurrection. i thought it was aweful (And no matter what u have heard: It's NOT the seqal to Ninja Scroll)

We should make a short list of MUST WATCH DVDs.

I think Anthony is right with Akira and Ninja Scroll. And Spriggana nd Perfect Blue would be 2 Id say u HAVE to see.

After that...i dunno. SF2: The Animated Movie is amazing, and has the best hand 2 hand fights ever i think. But its not one of the BIG movies, like the others.

At least the big fight scenes (i.e. Vegeta and Goku, Goku and Frieza, Gohan and Cell)

What about Blood: The Last Vampire

 

Scream, firstly Ninja Ressurection is a prequel not a sequel, and i never actually said i liked ninja ressurection, i just own it I also agree, no DBZ dvd's as most people dislike DBZ. Wicked city is a decent anime movie, not sure if it is everyones cup of tea. Violent, funny, sexy etc.
The three definate movies to watch would be Akira, Ninja Scrolls and Spriggen (not in any particular order).
I was so close to buying Perfect Blue on DVD yesterday
Might have to throw in Ghost in the Shell into the viewing mix too.

If i can get my stereo hooked up, i vot my place for best sound, atm the bloody subwoofer won't fire up, reckon my bro was watching die hard with the level at maximum

question, are we watching icky english dubs or in Japanese with subtitles? I absolutely detest dubs. It's either raw or subbed for me!

Dragonball....look if the group wants to watch it, then we should. personally i find it slow and boring, but thats just me.
