I love the Prequels era (Arguably more so than the Originals). And I do love the references the writer's have made so far in Star Wars Rebels in regards to the Republic.
I loved how the droid army and Trade Federation/CIS looked in the PT. All the ships & the technology they used looked fantastic. (However, one could argue it looks & acts more sophisticated than the technology they had in the OT & even now the ST. But that's another topic.)
I'm just wondering would anyone like to see any anything more Trade Federation/CIS related, re-appear in Rebels somewhere down the line? I know we have got at least one Trade Federation/CIS reference so far, when Ahsoka reveal's the head of a an old Tactical Droid to help find Captain Rex in the Season 2 episode ''The Lost Commanders''. Though at the end of ROTS when Palpatine orders the immediate shut down of all Separatist droid units, ships & bases. Its still possible that other remaining Separatist technology also fell into the hands of other company (Pirates,Smuggler's Etc) & used for other proposes after the Clone Wars had ended. Not just left for ruin's in old battlegrounds.
We know that Separatist technology can still be reprogrammed afterall. Perfect examples are in the Canon novel Star Wars: Aftermath. A boy named Temmen reprograms a B1 unit to serve as his assistant/sidekick. Then, in another Canon novel titled Star Wars: The Crimson Corsair & The Lost Treasure Of Count Dooku. We get an old Seperatist Providence -class dreadnaught, that crashed landed on the planet Penomah during the near end Clone Wars & it lies in the wastes of sands for five decades (Close to the events of TFA). After liying there for 50 years, the ship & all the deactiveated Seperatist droids on board slowly begin to reactive, due to numerous Ion storm's that swept over the region over the years.
So there's proof that Separatist technology can still be of use & I would very much like to see something like this happen. Just to show that not everything Clone Wars related suddenly disappeared over the course of 15 years. Let us know what you think :)

I would like to see some of the ships adapted to the rebel fleet. I do NOT want to see the droid army or droid fighters used.

I have a theory on the old EU concept of the automation on the CIS ships and the low crew numbers. The reason the crew were listed so low. 300 for the Recusant and 200 for the Munificent. I think that the ships were like any others....built for normal sentient crews...but the CIS decided to use droid crews who could plug into their stations and not run down their internal batteries. This way the droid crew could be there 24/7 (or whatever the GFFA equivalent). With a sentient crew it would need between 1000-1200 to effectively operate as well as resupply with food, water, etc...the things needed to keep sentients functioning.

This could be something the comes into play if the Rebels get ahold of one...finding enough people to effectively crew a ship (or ships) that big.

Very True. In the old EU, the Rebel Alliance found a CIS Providence -class carrier destroyer to which they called Rebel One & used it in their fleet. So yeah I would love to see the Rebels get there hands back onto some Seperatist tech to help there cause in the new Canon. Because afterall, there resources are heavily restricted majority of the time because the Empire owns everything now. So since the are a Rebellion afterall, they should take whatever they can get realistically Aha.

Oh my, I think I really need to concentrate more on my researching of things Aha. Turns out in the mobile game, Star Wars: Commander. (Literally the only Star Wars game I haven't played before) Already as a bunch of Clone Wars vehicles & droids in it, that have been re purposed by the Rebel Alliance to help fight the Empire. Everything from old CIS IG - 227 Hailfire-class Droid Tanks (Renamed Rebel Hailfire Droids), Old Republic AT-AP Walker's, Old Republic AT-TE's, Old Republic LAAT Gunship's, Old Republic AT-RT Walker's & Old CIS AAT-1 Hover Tanks, (Shown Below). Can't beleive I didn't know about this sooner & best of all, its all Canon! I gotta say I'm very pleased with what Disney have done so far, by trying there best to tie the entire trilogies together like this. Deffinatley something that the old EU lacked & its fantastic to finally see. Gonna download the game right now, so excited!! :D

I would love to see a crashed Lucrehulk battleship somewhere. We've never seen them land on surface, have we?

Also, I wonder if Lott Dod is still alive... He wasn't at Mustafar. Wonder what happened to him after ROTS and the Trade Federation got sucked up by the Empire.

I wonder if the Geonosians built the Lucrehulks. I also wonder if whether or not it's a coincidence that the Death Star, like the Lucrehulk cores, is spherical.

We have seen the cores landed, on Geonosis.

I think it implies that the ring has to stay in space.

The rebels could go to Iego, meet up with Jaybo, and use his repurposed droids to carry out whatever mission they decide to go on.

I was disappointed to see the complete abandonment of TCW era equipment after the prequels. Not only is it not realistic, it's less interesting, IMO, since OT vehicles are less diverse. I mean, in the US Navy, I've heard that the average span of a ship is 30 years. With Arleigh Burkw class Destroyers projected to remain in use for up to 40. I get that they want to sell toys and so having Venators, and Imperial class Star Destroyers and Interdictors, and the new TFA Star Destroyer, etc. Diversifies things, but there's no reason the new can't coexist with the old. If the Empire is still flying the Arquitens (sp?) Light cruiser, why not Venators? Victory class Destroyers were also canonized in Tarkin, yet made no appearance in TCW nor Rebels, thus far. They seemed to appear and be phased out in like 15 years.

Venators appear in post-ANH comics - and some ships that look suspiciously like Victories appear as well. However, they could just be stylised Imperials.

It would be nice to see both in animation though.

After any ship showed up in the PT...they started showing up in the old EU. Everyone has new toys to play with to tie stories into the movies.

Vader comic series is set between ANH and ESB,the Geonosians are wiped out, so i wonder if they are already doomed in the rebels Era.?

Many CIS ships were based on freighters so it won't surprise me that they were turned back 2 freighters after the war.

The TF battleships were the only ones I know of off the top of my head that were once freighters. But with the nationalization of the TF, it's possible those ships were still operating under Imperial control, as the Empire would need freighters to move goods, so why not?

I definitely want to see CIS-ships used by the rebels at some point somewhere. And maybe battle droids as well but not in large scale and not by rebel alliance- maybe some independent rebel group or some crime lord (like Vizago had his droid army)- droidekas at least are nice and actually useful so they could be used by Hutts or the Black Sun or that sort of people not by rebs. But AAT-tanks at least if Onderon is shown- would like to see a few of them used by Gerrera's men.

The question is now when can we expect to start seeing more post CIS ships and droids make there way into Rebels or Rogue One. I agree with Swashbucklingjedi above to introduce them on a much smaller scall. And they should be integrated into the Rebellion at some point. I would have them as a sect of the Rebels that is introduced at some point and then approved to join the Alliance.

This is our chance to see Tie fighters go up against droid fighters or Star Destroyers go up against large ships like the Malevance.

The AAT battle tank seems to be heavily utilized by the Empire, just some cosmetic differences.

Fellow PT lover here (well just TCW and RoTS era really) and I found the Separatists' technology one of the saving graces of. However, I'm not sure we'll see much as their technology was more futuristic than the OT era manned craft. The Separatists had: droids that could fight underwater and lava, automated bombers, cruisers (Malevolence) which could disable a fleet of ships with an ion cannon and MagnaGuards which could rival skilled Jedi in CQC. I personally loved these additions to the SW universe, but I'm not sure Palpatine would have allowed for their superior technology to have remained on the market.

Is there an in-universe reason as to why tech gets worse... is it a money thing, i.e the Empire is made on the cheap in-order to expand and dominate quickly, cheap and cheerful, the stuff functions but its basic but does its job because the Empire has numbers which in can use to overwhelm rather than rely on the best gadgetry with lower numbers... so the Republic and the CIS and other factions had more of a focus of winning by tech with lower number of ships and armies, they were about quality and advancement which they thought would win the war... where as the Empire takes a quantity over quality approach which does prove effective in establishing the Empire..
