Saturday sounds good, Kev. At least I'll get a chance to sport my SFFF jersey and get a trading card made for it. ;)

i attended my volunteer orientation this evening and they strictly instructed for us not to bother the celebrities and ball players, even if they approach us they have to initiate conversation and even then all we can do is say hello back. no photos or autographs shall be requested by the volunteers or we lose our privleges.
having said that i'll see u guys there on saturday. i'm bringing my cousins so i'll prolly run into u guys.

If you and/or Casey do go, wear your jerseys and we can take a group photo to promote more sales hopefully on the SFFF site and to new members. :)

i'm working the All Star Celebrities and Legends softball game on Sunday. U'll see me at the "make shift" fences that we put up. I'll try to be in the centerfield area. Problem is that we are required to wear this (embarassing) Taco Bell shirt! Also we can't interact with the players or celebrities before and after the game. SUCKS! oh well at least i can brag that i shared the baseball field with celebs like Alyssa Milano and LeAnn Tweeden!

So the interview did make it on tv. Cool! I watched the 11pm news and they didn't show it.

The Fan Fest was awesome! My dad and I got there around 9:30am and we didn't leave until after 5pm. There is so much to do over there. The cool thing is that all of the attractions are free. Only bad thing were the lines to most attractions but the time in line went by fast after talking to some really cool fans. Everyone there was really friendly. Just a head's up, if any of you are collectors of McFarlane Sports figures, there's a limited edition Barry Bonds All Star figure that is an exclusive to the Fan Fest on the 3rd floor behind the baseball field. People were walking around with up to three cases of these figures today and the clerk at the booth said that they would sell out tomorrow, so if you collect those figs, run to the 3rd floor first and snag one cause they're gonna sell out.

    Have a great time guys!

thanks Matt and Dale for spending some time at the fan fest with me! eventhough u guys had the 2pm check in time we had enough time to get our freebie photo ops and to wander about in the halls. highlights of the day were:

    1. getting in the building earlly enough to get one of the last few Barry Bonds McFarlane All Star 07 exclusives.
    2. having the baseball card,Wheaties box,and Upper Deck postcard made.
    3. shaking hands and taking pics with baseball announcers and Tom Tolbert.
    4. getting 2 solid hits from "video pitching Barry Zito".now i can see why other teams can beat Zito. anyone can get a hit off of him!
    5. Allyssa Milano!!

Had a great time! I've never seen Moscone West more crowded (even at WonderCon). Like Jaz said, all the fun stuff was free! Yeah, if Dale and I were allowed to enter a couple of hours earlier, we could've done everything we wanted to. Oh well. I highly suggest going (it runs until Tuesday). The last time the All-Star Game was in SF was back in 1984, and this one was the first Fan Fest, I believe, so who knows when the next one will be here!

Oh, and that Megan Fox lookalike was  [face_love] !

The celeb softball game was pretty awesome. Alyssa Milano was a host and in the game was old school Giants from the 80s Kevin Mitchell, Matt Williams, Robbie Tompson, and JT Snow (not 80s, but whatever). They also had other greats like Ozzie Smith, Wade Boggs, and Ricky Henderson. Jimmy Kimmel, Rob Schnider, Leanne Tweeden =P~ and the current Miss America were also playing AND Jerry Rice was MVP. Gotta thank Rogue 6 for the invite!

i took some pretty sweet pics from the softball game from my fence position in right field. Rollie Fingers was just a few feet away from me.He was asking the volunteer next to me if the fences were holding up okay. Rob Schnieder was very entertaining. At one point he was trying to catch a pigeon that was on the field. LeeAnn,Alyssa, and Rachel Smith were HOT!! Especially LeeAnn with the baseball uniform on. I only wish we were able to go up to them and at least say hi.
I heard Alyssa will be at Fan Fest today. I'm gonna try to sneak outta work to see her if I could. I'll post my pics on my myspace later today.

i just got back from the fan fest today and scored an autographed picture of alyssa milano. since my boss was gone for the week i was able to sneak outta work early and drive down to the city before traffic hit and just in time for the signing session. they don't allow you to take pictures when u enter the autograph area. she supplies the photo to be signed and she interacts with you for a minute.
she'll be there again signing at the 1st floor where the clubhouse store is from 1pm-2pm.

thanks! i was thinking of going again today but i have tons of work today. depending on how tired i am i might go to the portwalk at the ball park to check out the game.all star week is ending so quickly. i wish the fan fest was longer so i could take advantage of my volunteer mvp pass.the lines were so long for matt williams, robby thompson and kevin mitchell.oh well for what i got from the fan fest and for what i experienced it was worth it!

Well, All-Star Week has come to an end. From what I've seen, it was a great success, not only for the fans, but for the city of San Francisco! =D= Let's hope it doesn't take another 24 years to make it's way back here.

I had so much fun this last weekend. Most of all, being a small part of the whole experience in my own way. I have so much stuff from the weekend that I can start my own museum. I have about 4 Fan Fest Bonds figures that I am trading or selling. And a one of them, besides my own, is autographed! One of the few, I think, I have the only two as we speak right now. Just got them signed. I also ( keep this on the hush...) have two shirts already for when he breaks the record. I even have a proof sheet of the card for the record breaking figure. Lucky me! I have 2 programs signed by Bonds, Reyes, Griffey JR, Young, Peavy, and Cabrera. One is for my own. One will go on E bay once Bonds hit the breaker along with some other items.

Any how, this weekend was once in a lifetime, or until they come back , or to Oakland ( or when and whenever the A?s move). Anyone meet Ms. Milano? WOWAWEEWAH!

hey lou! i got alyssa's autograph on wednesday. how did u get griffey and reyes to sign? i'm sure u had inside connections! :). u were lucky to get 4 bonds figures! i only got one as the mcfarlane booth caught on to "ebay scalpers" hoarding them all. yeah fanfest came and gone so quickly! now we can concentrate on the rest of the season then the A-ROD Giants or Ichiro Giants era for next year!!

I'd like to see A-Rod in black and orange more than Ichiro. But, if you look at the active roster player by player, we do have a great team! But what's wrong?
