We're talking about the SOTE game cutscenes here.

The game was first released on N64 with 2D cutscenes that were subtitled, and then on PC with brand new 3D prerendered sequences.

However, some elements of the N64 cutscenes were cut in the PC version, including a scene showing Han & Dash discussing on Hoth.

So, what I'd like people who own both versions, or played both at least, to do in this thread is simple : list all the differences between the PC & N64 cutscenes.

And if someone could even provide screenshots of the N64 cutscenes, it'd be even better.

Then I might try to compile it all on one web page.

(And thanks to Val for the thread idea.)

Even though SotE is a novel, you are talking about the game, so you should take this to theGames forum.

While it is a game, we're talking about the continuity of the cutscenes here, not the gameplay itself. Canon/continuity issues are not welcomed in the Games forum, so the best place to discuss these type of topics is here.

Yes, I know what I'm doing by posting his here.

Anyway, I just thought about something... I'll try to write a script of the PC cutscenes, which I can see, and if someone could do the same with the N64 game, it'd be great.

Up. I wasn't able to type it yet, because of some display problems under a too recent problem. And haven't had much time either... ;)

When I get home I can help you with this PX, as you know I must be the 2nd biggest SotE fan after you!

I'll see what i can do with the N64 shots.

    I've just ordered the soundtrack!

Hey, I'm not a SotE fan... ;) Just Xizor... Just Xizor. And Black Sun. And Guri. And... Okay, I'm a SotE fan. :D

And you'll see (or rather hear), the soundtrack ain't exactly John Williams, but it's rather good though, especially 3 cues (Beggar's Canyon, Xizor's Theme and The Destruction of Xizor's Palace).

Agreed. But my favorite track is "Night Skies". I love the choral part, right after the first rendition of Vader's Theme.

I read SOTE right when it came out, along with the soundtrack, so hearing it really brings back memories of the story, and the summer of '96.

I have the N64 game and i always wondered if the PC version had more cut-scenes and now i will know :D
I will wright a script of the N64 game too with bad quality pictures by taking pictures of the scenes with a camera(since i dont have a motion capture card)
