    Episode 1.02!!
    Part 2

    -------------------------------------

Discussion of New Episodes - Rules
    (1) One of the mods will post each week's episode thread a day or two before it airs on Disney+.

    (2) Official episode commentary may be posted in this episode thread.

    (3) Discussion in the actual episode thread will be limited to that specific episode, NOT future episodes; past episodes may be referenced. Speculation based on released material is permitted.

    (4) Skeleton Crew episodes air on Tuesday* on Disney+. Anyone who shares plot details about an episode before then must use spoiler tags. After that folks will begin discussing their reviews and thoughts without tags which will likely include spoilers. To anyone concerned about being spoiled before watching the episode it is your responsibility to avoid the thread until you have had your chance to view.

    (5) All leaks and rumors must be spoiler tagged until they are either proven or disproven.

    (6) Reviews for each episode may be posted once they have aired. One of the mods will add a grading poll to that episode's discussion thread.

*All episodes premiere on Tuesday except for the premiere, which airs on a Monday

A lot shorter than the first episode, but the kids were the same height.

So glad to get 2-episode premieres and we don’t have to wait a week for another episode. Now, if they would only drop the entire seasons at once…

I try my best to wait until the whole season is dropped. The exception seems to be SW content. I enjoy the discuss as the show goes along.

Me too, I like to binge on other things but I like to take it real slow with Star Wars stuff! I love the one episode per week thing and the discussion and suspense… but maybe my age starts to show!

I liked the second episode better.

This spaceport was a very rough place with drunkards, a red light district, a tattoo studio and an old man's dive bar. The contrast with the different children was of course quite interesting and I could really get excited with the four of them. Vane, who we already know from The Mandalorian, and all these pirate scumbags made the scene quite atmospheric, even though SM-33 cleaned it up quite one-sidedly and quite brutally. Jod Na Nawood's introduction (played by Jude Law) reminded me of DJ's introduction to TLJ, but seemed more consistent here.

I am pleasantly surprised by this series and am looking forward to more.

    8/10

One time this didn't work was with the Acolyte. I loved it, until the second flash back and then it all fell like a bad souffle.

Still fun. Pretty predictable how things would go once they get to the spaceport but cool to see all the different alien species for once in a long time. Jord's introduction was cool although why he hadn't gotten the key sometime before to break out is a question. I guess you're not really a Jedi if no one is around to see you use your powers. Biggest intrigue is the kids home planet, At Attin, so far. The Daniels are directing next episode so hopefully they don't snuff out the momentum the show has going with some weird **** like turning the kids into asteroids to talk to each other. 8/10

Once again, the classic Disney Plus episode problem, the episode is good, but ends for absolute nowhere, it's hard to learn the Max style Disney?

Fern's reply to the whole Airlock question should be "Not Yet"

Another delightful episode! This series is going to be a lot of fun I think based on these first 2 episodes.

The space port felt like they were channeling Jim Hensen. Definitely looking forward to some entertainment.

Jod getting the key didn't feel like a magnet trick. He clearly has an interesting story. While not explicit, it seems clear that Jod is the Pirate Cpt in the first episode so cannot be trusted.

Some of the parents in charge of the planet are pirates, and the "great work" we hear about is to discover the treasure of At Atin.

The children will learn some of the adults are corrupt pirates.

The pirate spaceport is visually fabulous.

    Teek's uncle Twak.

    Intrigued thus far.

I loved the pirate port, just the scummiest sorts trying to one up each other and con the kids. SM-33 is already a contender for best droid.

Curious about their planet. I'm guessing whatever treasure the pirates think is there is older than the memories of the populace and either gone or extremely well hidden, possibly even in plain sight.

This show is visually stunning. I literally have zero complaints from this kind of Star Wars.
Can't wait for the third episode.

Has At Attin been hidden since before the Empire took over the Republic? I believe so.

You know what this surprised me. I went in with zero expectations and I actually liked it second episode gets a 8/10 same as the first. SM-33 is the best character Wim is the least cause I don’t get why he’s upset that people are saying it’s all his fault it 100% is. And pressing the button trope is super annoying

Pirates of the Caribbean Easter egg spotted/heard when they're in the brig. You can hear someone whistling in the same manner the jailed pirate is trying to get the dog to fetch the key.

They mention the kid having “old republic credits,” so yes.

    So, basically: Holes.

I sort of think there’s going to be an Indiana jones esque twist where the “treasure” is some eldritch evil and the “great work” is essentially keeping it contained. That’s also why you have the barrier surrounding the planet - similar to something like the hyperspace barrier containing MnngalMnngal in the Unknown Regions in Legends

Skeleton Crew is really cute so far. Really strong Spielberg-Amblin film vibes; it’s like
like The Goonies and Treasure Island were thrown into a blender with Star Wars. I think kids are going to super love it, like my nephews are going to go nuts for it, and it’s good at being about kids without being a “kids show.” It’s surprisingly violent.

I am also dying to know what’s up with their planet? Why did it get disconnected and basically erased from the knowledge of the GFFA during the Old Republic era?
