Slime.

I'm sure most of us have owned or played with a toy with some type of slime aspect at one point or another. If you haven't then your life is sad and empty Us 80s kids had He-man's slime pit. Later on there was slime 'mutogen' for the Ninja Turtles, and 'ectoplasm' for Ghostbusters. Even Harry Potter and Star Wars toys have recently adopted the slime craze.

But the other day, I came across the most amazing slime to ever grace a toy peg. The Wrestling, "Septic Sludge" series.

Now, I'm no fan of wrestling, but luckily, the company making this product realized that the real selling product was the slime.

Above we see the 'messy bathroom' set, complete with dilapitated sink, and a toy toilet! At last, boys round the world can have a little plastic toilet for their action figures (be they Harry Potter or Anakin Skywalker) to sit on. And of course, surrounding these goodies is the slime itself. It's beautiful, and lime green.

But what makes this slime so great (if you read real close you'll see) is that each type of slime is scented. The 'messy bathroom' slime smells like stale water! Of course, the toilet slime is green, because making it brown would have been too gross, despite the fact that it already smells like poop.

What other types of slime are there? I'm glad you asked.

The Gooey garbage smells like dead fish. There is also an oil spill with black slime set that smells like burnt rubber, and construction set with brown slime (switch this with the toilet slime) that smells like asphalt, and the quintessential Lazy Janitor set, which smells like body odor.

What great toys. And now, for reading through my whole thread, I'll show you how to make slime of your own:

Take 1 cup of Elmer's white glue (not school glue)
Taek 1 cup of liquid starch or borax in solution.
Before mixing the two together, you may want to add food coloring to the glue for you're own special slime.

Add the borax/starch slowly to the glue, and knead the solution. After a time, the compound will come together and you'll have your own slime!

How does GAK smell?

He-man slime smelled a little like the ambrosia of Zeus, and a little like baby shampoo.

BTW, I tried out that slime recipe mentioned above, but I screwed it up and added the stuff together too quickly, and then added the food coloring at the end. The result ended up looking like a pink pancake.

B'omie, people just don't understand slime appeal nowadays. I mean, when I was little, I would have given anything to play with slime that was scented with a foul odor! My friends would have been hella jealous that my Barbie and Ken filled their jaccuzzi with putrid slime rather than water!

I'm gonna get me some of that today.

Don't forget the slime in your pants when I jumped out and scared you with that Creature from the Black Lagoon Mask. You said you were smuggling it down there. It had a wierd consistency though for slime. It was a bit nutty.
