Slipknot says Iowa is like the Death Star...

Just read an interview with slipknot over at cnn. These guys came from Des Moines, Iowa but hates the place. Here is what they said:

Q: Do you still live in Iowa?

TAYLOR: Yeah, a few of us have moved around now and then, but we've all come back. There's something about Iowa that just keeps you there.

JORDISON: It's the state equivalent of the "Death Star" with the big tractor beam.

Yes, Iowa sucks; if you like paying $3.00 for a tank of gas, or worrying about getting shot when you're out late at night, or not having one of the best education systems int he country, or not having 3 teams in the NCAA tourney, then Iowa is the place to avoid. Otherwise we're awesome

BTW, I went to a "Slipknot" party many years back. Three or four of the guys used to live together less than a block away from my dad's house. Their music hasn't got much better since highschool...

 

Iowa is flat and boring. I wouldn't say it sucks, exactly, but it is not the coolest state, either.

 

I would be skeptical about anything said by Slipknot

Good for Slipknot. I loved their old stuff, but when they became really popular their music changed and I hated it. They cut their testicles off on that new album they've got.

 

yea the new album was way to calm, the acoustic songs and clean choruses aren't the direction they should be heading

 

What is it with people and their hate for the new album? Sp what if thay changed the style, do you want them to keep doing that teenage angst **** that korn has been making for 10 years?
Bands that rode the Nu-metal wave died after a few years.

There is a reason why Limp Bizket died (a part from Durst being in it)

They changed the style on the ew album to live, so whjat if they mellowed out, it still sound good, if not better.
