Slower Imperial March

Is there i certain track on the OT soundtrack that employs a slower version of the imperial march? I have heard it throughout ROTJ and enjoy it better than the normal IM. could someone please tell me where to find it?

Approaching the Death Star

 

Do you mean slower as in broader and more bombastic, or slower as in more emotional and sorrowful?

 

Well in ESB the Imperial March is modulated just about every way possible. Forgive for not having actual track names, but.........during the Carbon Freeze scene you get a slower version and after the Falcon goes into hyperspace and Vader turns and walks away you get a real slow redition (also used in the Return of Darth Vader featurette).

 

Or it could be when Vader and Luke arrive in the throne room of the Emperor.

Yeah i have been listening to that part of that song over and over again for awhile.

 

Other than Lord Vader's Death, you might like Chopin's Marche Funebre.

 

Thanks dark night, i checked out Marche Funebre, and i must say it is quite similiar to the IM.


Anyone else notice any slower parts in ESB or ROTJ?

 

I guess...Imperial Starfleet Deployed, but it's a bit faster than Approaching the Death Star

 

Try "Deal With the Dark Lord" from ESB.
