Memph, TN SMT website: Members Page **UPDATED**

I've got a couple of days off and I'd like to get something on our Members page.

Nothing fancy for now - just names and text.

I need everyone (who wants to be included) to fill out the following info and either post it here or send it to me via PM or email:


Name (full or partial real name or pseudo-name)
Date joined SMT (can be approximate)

And, I don't know how to make banners, but a banner made of member pics/events would be cool. (Looks at Rhonda, Sal, Lin..........)

Ya know, seems like I remember reading something that Tim wrote about members having had to attend a certain amount of meetings/events to retain membership status...maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not sure I'm still a member by those rules. Just wondering...

 

Steve: We never really went ahead with any membership rules. I toyed around with them for a little while, but, just like Frank Shirley in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, I rescinded them after I was dragged from my happy holiday slumber, tied up, with a big ribbon on my head, and told what a cheap, lying, four-flushing, bug-eyed, stiff-legged...

Well, you get the point.

Come to think of it, we don't have any rules!

Hell, I'll take anyone who'll just admit to being a member. There's so damned few of us that I'm starting to think about adding names off of headstones to our rosters just to make the club look good.

Trace, there should be some stuffs you can use for the site on the disk I left. I'll make a copy for Rhonda. Should be some camp out pics, pics of the JediElvis Pig, some toon, and more. I made a SW celeb folder, but forgot to put Michael Sheard in it, but there are some shots of him in the MSC folder.

When I was told to join, it was pretty much show up and/or post and you're in! So, if you're reading or replying in this thread you're one of us!

What about 'Honorary Members'? Any rules for them? Billy Dee is our first and only one. Should we limit it to just SW folks who come to Memphis that we meet, or expand it to other folks like Dragon who have done something nice for the club? I'd be glad to make up certificates for future HMs. What sez you?

And so is Muley, even though we have already met our jackass quota.

Lin is right, if you participate, you're a member. And if you stick around, well, you're really a member. And if you buy your illustrious President and Vice President a fine bottle of something from your local liquor store, well, then you're a preferred member!

If the group grows to the point where we really need rules, then we'll worry about it then. Right now, everybody just play nice and I won't have to bash any heads.


Seriously, if you want to be a member, or if you're willing to admit to the general public that you're a member enough to want to be listed on our Members page, then submit your info. I will keep the rule about SMT email addresses, though, just to prevent any possibilities of us going over our allotted webspace amount. We'll start worrying about membership criteria if and when we get to the point where we'll need to collect dues. (I said the magical four-letter word there. Who wants to impeach me? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?)

Yep, that's pretty much it, but of course you know your 'force ghost' will have to run things then!

Besides, what fun would this club be without things like 'TIMMYCON!', 'TimHX', or 'TIMAX'?! Just wouldn't work with anybody else's name, and the rest of us are either too smart and/or too lazy to want the job!
