So, how much does a birthday card weigh?

I don't have a fine little scale right now, and I don't have time to go to the Post Office, but I need to dispatch a birthday card overseas. Airmail will cost me 3 stamps if the card is only 1 oz (and 3 stamps always does it when I send letters or anything), but if it's 2 ounces, I'll need 5 stamps. Is there any way the card will weigh more than an ounce? Or should I throw on a couple extra stamps to be on the safe side?

I would throw a couple extras on.
Just to be safe about it.
A late birthday card would sort of defeat the purpose.

I have a postal scale (My family has a mail-order business) and I just weighed a birthday card that I received this year. (Including the the envelope and a one page letter inside). It was just under 1 ounce. That being said, it's never a bad idea to err on the side of caution. :)

I just recieved one from my aunt and it had four stamps on it. It also contained a $100 gift card for Barnes and Noble and $100 gift card for Chili's.

    I'd say about 2-3oz.
