I accessed the machine's "Debug Menu" and took advantage of it's features. It wasn't a top-of-the-line machine, so it was still possible to get change. Usually these days, you can only get free sodas.

Soda machines have eaten plenty of my dollars. I should go on a similar mission to recapture that stolen money. As for the "debug menu," it is obvious that this is a Japanese coke machine, because in Japan "not top of the line" is still several hundred years more advanced than our "current" soda machines.

Guy accidentally left it in that mode at our school and the machine got emptied within about a minute.

 

See, using the 4231 menu to get a free soft drink, or $10 is lame. Setting the price of a coke to $47.58 and only accepting exact change is a lot more fun

heh...bashing the snack machines for free food is fun. you gotta hit it right. (note that i only do this when the candy bar or whatnot is stuck in the rings). i once found about a buck or so worth of change AND got 2 bags of chips, a kitkat bar, and a crunch bar for free on one night.

There was a candy machine at school which if you rocked it enough would give out free candy. Oh god how we abused that poor thing. One day we all tipped it upside down, stole thecandy and then put it back upright. After that they removed it though. Saying that we abused our candy privelages.

It was worth it though.

My dorm once had this thing where if you swiped your card through and bought a 60-cent candy bar, it would give you 10 dollars in change. We pocketed the money, then informed the management. I've always felt bad about that.
