Ok, I'll start at the beginning.

I'm unemployed, so when I get an opportunity, and I have a good reason to do so, I drive my BMW over and apply for jobs. Recently I applied at the local Target.

Anyway, a week ago, when I applied, they were going to give me a little interview on the spot, but the guy wasnt there so they told me he would call me back at a later date.

    And then I left.

Now everyday I've been waiting for the call about an interview

I wasnt sure if they even remembered me, but every day I waited, and today they called and I have an interview set up for 1130.

Now, to get this to a topic for discussion, here's a question:

What should I wear to an interview at Target?

What does a BMW have to do with a job interview? :p

I'd wear a nice pair of pants and a shirt with a collar. And nice shoes.

Umm I have a sneaking suspicion that a job at Target will not help much with your Beamer payment!

trust me, wearing a tie sucks, but if you really need a job, it might just be worth biting the bullet and do it!

Actually, when you interview at Microsoft for a tech position, they recommend not wearing a tie or sport jacket because it apparently intimidates the nerds. :p

nice pair of pants and shoes w/dress socks, shirt and tie.

trust me, you can't go wrong. you want to make an impression on them that you are someone who is employable, not slovenly.

    think classy, you'll be classy.

Judging by the average Target employee, I'm pretty sure they're not too bothered by "slovenly" over there.

    Yup!

Always look professional no matter what job your going for! Once you get the job if you dont need to wear a tie etc, then cool, but get the job first.
