Something that has always bugged me about the Disney's Rock'N'Roller Coaster...

And no, its not the freakin posters of Selena Gomez or the Jonas Brothers plastered all over the queue...the vintage stuff before you board the train more than makes up for that. (btw...one poster in particular has an out of place American flag on it...look closely...the imagineers put the flag sticker on it to cover up a marijuana leaf 8-})

What bothers me is one throwaway line....you are seated and strapped in the train and are parked right at the entrance in front of the giant lighted sign. It's go-time, your heart is pounding...LETS DO THIS!
Then comes the 3-2-1 countdown....but just before that, Bill St. James comes on the speakers and reminds you of the coaster's storyline that you are in fact in a "super" stretch limo going to an Aerosmith concert. It's kind of pointless, but its not that bad.

Or at least its not bad until St. James says something completely random....

    "CHECK OUT STEVEN TYLER'S HAT!"

Whaaaa--? I guess they dont expect you to think about it because right afterwards, you launch with such a force that makes the US Navy jealous. (sidenote...have Navy carriers begun installing linear-induction motors yet? It seems like a no-brainer at this point)

Okay sure there is a post-ride video. And Steven Tyler IS *not surprisingly* wearing a hat. But it's just a hat. Nothing really special or noteworthy about it.

    A silly hat.

What was the name of that one movie where Vanessa Hudgens and some other Disney dinks stand outside a closed CBGBs?

This thread reminds me of that movie, about how "Rock 'n Roll is awesome, man!" the mainstream tries to be sometimes, when it isn't.

Random Fact: There is a coaster at a park the Netherlands that has an almost identical layout as The Rock'n'RollerCoaster if you're curious what it looks like:

Rock'N'Roller Coaster is one of the few roller coasters I ride because it's indoors and you can't really see how high up you are. [face_peace]

Yeah, collaborating with a domestic abuser when your core fanbase is pre-adolescent and adolescent girls is a no-go for me.

Never noticed that line before...I'll have to check it in January when I'm down there for the marathon.
