There's a 1979 song, 'Spacer', that was inspired by the character of Han Solo. The song was sung by Sheila and B Devotion, and composed and produced by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of Chic fame.

The song can be found on YouTube at:

    According to Rodgers:

'We saw Sarah Brightman and Hot Gossip do some silly thing in Britain - 'I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper' - so we thought we'd use a little Sarah Brightman, a little 'Star Wars', and a little Ziggy Stardust. So we took the character of Harrison Ford as Han Solo flying around and made it a romance'.

(from Daryl Easlea, 'Everybody Dance: Chic and the Politics of Disco'.)

Strilo edit: Please use the SW video clips thread for this.
