These books were published by Plaza Joven in Spain in 1986. I have never seen them in person and have never read the stories, but I'm wondering if anyone else has. It looks like the little comics are pretty short, but with very nice art and at least somewhat altered, if not original stories. As you can see in the last picture, Jessica Meade and C-3PO are running through the desert on Tyne's Horky, while in the TV series, I don't think the two had even met at that point. I have also seen a picture from the A-Wing book where Uncle Gundy was in an A-Wing. Again, this is something that didn't happen anywhere else in Droids TV or books. After reading the recent Droids Re-Animated feature on starwars.com by Rich Handley & Abel G. Peña, and reading the English translation of the Spanish comic strips, I'm wondering if these have anything that's original enough that it should also be added to the Droids chronology. Wow! Great job finding the pictures. With Sonko Fromm now firmly part of canon, it does seem like Abel & Rich are integrating these books' canon into official canon. That may be the closest we ever get to reading them!
I know, I know. I'm a little stuck in the past! Anyway, hoping to see the full stories translated into English someday to add to our rare Droids comics collection! I did see the Mungo Baobab book on the Spanish version of ebay yesterday, but it was out of my price range.
In searching through images of Spanish Droids stuff on Google, I came across this one today. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this one before? (Image was found at http://www.todocoleccion.net/rarisi...dos-muy-buscado-dificil-buen-estado~x37020227
