So zap me with the big surprise! Slap me in a trap, cut me down to size. I'll make the great escape, it's just a piece of cake!
The ART?!?!? What is this? Is there actually ART in the mainline title again? Holy goodness, that was so refreshing to see. Spoiler Good set up for the arc after the finale of Hope Dies. Overall, the story was just ok. I liked the scenes in the bar, and I liked the contact they were working with. Issue also gives a wake up call to Sana and Han. If you walk like a Rebel, talk like a Rebel, spend all your time with Rebels...well you are definitely still Smuggler/Agents for hire, as long as that’s what you want to tell yourself. #56 Enjoyed the art as well. Story was okay, and I'm scratching my head with the overall set up but I'm sure "stuff" will hit the fan soon enough to make things exciting.
I'm also so glad they finally changed the artist, a literal breath of fresh air honestly. As for the story, I'll have to see more before making a call but it's always great to see Sana interacting with the main cast.
That was a lot fun if only because the last 4 pages were awesomely twisty. I would be fine if it's just Han sitting around drinking and living the good life for the next few issues.
I loved the art, but felt a little underwhelmed by the story. Sure, it's only the first issue of the arc, but it didn't really grab me as Hope Dies did. Here's hoping that the rest of the arc is better.
I really did, too. But those are some horrible Big Three tracings in the preview... I guess I should reserve judgment for when the whole issue drops next week.
Erm... yeah... I'm kind of in the "we should have been more specific in what we wished for" camp here. But I'll see how the whole issue pans out. EVERY other SW title still looks better, though. APHRA has looked consistently great for a while now.
Tracing is probably half the issue marvel likes switching the artist half way through the issue to get the issue out faster
Well I am getting flashbacks to the Sana Solo story arc with this issue. Heroes stranded, third party (not empire or alliance) enters the picture and has information that could easily be shared right away, but is intentionally strung out - not because it benefits the story - but because Marvel wants to sell comic books. It is such an irritating way to tell the story - especially when reading it in a TPB in the future as opposed to monthly. The art was trace cringey at times, but THOSE ABS! whew! What have you been hiding from us ole boy?
I imagine in the future this arc will simply be remembered for introducing Spoiler Han to the SWOLO family
That was our first look at the hotly anticipated Marvel Star Wars Firefighters & Lumberjacks 2019 Calendar
I was actually thinking that Han is making the shirtless look work much better than Kylo and his ridiculous high-waisted pants.
@The2ndQuest @AdmiralNick22 2/5 released Spoiler So I have a feeling that the people on Hubin didn't choose isolation, but were intentionally isolated by the Empire.
What do we think of the theory that Spoiler Thane Markona is The Mandalorian? I don't think it's especially likely, but he's certainly being set up as a character with a mysterious past as a warrior, has armour that looks a little Mandalorian-inspired (the breathing tubes remind me of Canderous) and he has his own Clan.
It's not a bad theory. Spoiler Personally when Thane said that the Empire doesn't bother them my "Lando" alarm went off. Also, is it odd that the Thane's robot, was it EM- 1, calls him "My Thane"?
Spoiler "Thane" is a Scottish title (Macbeth is Thane of Cawdor), so I got the feeling it's Markona's title, not his forename.
