I thought I'd start this thread, because I keep finding Star Wars alluded to in comic books, TV shows, and other movies. and I know other people do to, and I was wondering how good of a list of these things we can get. So if you see Star Wars referenced on tv, in a book, comic, or movie, list it here. Other Lucasfilm references wouldn't hurt either, like finding the number 1138.

I'll start with the latest one I've found. In the comicbook Peter Parker:Spider-man (vol 2) #54 Spider-Man fought and defeated a robot buildt by a Bill Gates-esque software genius, so at the beginning of issue 55, Spider-Man walks into the Fantastic Four's headquarters with the broken droid strapped to his back. The Human Torch seeing Spidey with the "droid" in this condition remarks "So what brings you to our galaxy, Chewbacca?"

    Anybody got any more?

    Here's one real quick:

Bloodhound Gang's tune "Pretty When I'm Drunk" says "You're a cross between an ugnaught and Eugene Levy."

Come to think of it, there's a lot of Star Wars references in Bloodhound Gang songs.

Yes, Adam, there are references in BloodHound Gang songs. I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but this is my favorite one, from "The Roof Is On Fire"

'Cuz I'm kinda like Han Solo always stroking my own Wookie'

Makes me smile whenever I hear it.

    Here's a couple more:

Queen's "Bicycle Race" has the line: "Jaws was never my thing and I don't like Star Wars." Apparently, while a great singer, Freddie Mercury had crappy taste in recreational activities.

There's that whole "Clerks" comic where Randal and Dante are trying to get rich by selling Star Wars figures.

On an episode of "Sealab 2021", the Sealab crew goes on the road with M.C. Chris. They come back wearing shirts with Boba Fett helmets on them and the song over the closing credit is "I Bounty Hunt For Jaba the Hutt".

There a whole litany of references in "South Park", but my favorite is on the Korn episode. Kenny dresses up like ED-209 from "Robocop" only to have a snowspeeder trip him with a tow cable.

    Anybody else got any?

Well, who could forget the Friends episode where Ross's fantasy was to have Rachel dress up in Leia's ROTJ slave-girl bikini?!

There'a a Golden Girls episode where Dorothy calls Sophia (her mother) "Yoda," and not because she's wise! She was using it as an isult, calling her mother old, shriveled, and ugly.

You know, Adam's right...Freddy Mercury did have bad taste in recreational activities...so bad that it killed him....;)

What about all of the "Dexter's Laboratory" references....

    Here's a good one:

In the "TRON" episode, where Dex get's zapped inside the PC, he sends a little R2-ish robot to get DeeDee for help. She proceeds with the "Hmm, you've got something jammed in here real good...where you on a..." and a hologram of Dexter appears, saying "DeeDee, you're my only hope"...

I was thinking it would be fun to put together a tape with as many South Park Star Wars references and watch it at the next meeting. Don't worry these are on of the few things not crude in the show. I will probably get the season DVD set soon. That one has the episode where a Hollywood Planet estaurant bears a striking resemblence of the second Death Star and Cartman building a treehouse called Ewok Village 2000. I also believe Jonnie Cochran's Chewbacca defense is on there too. I don't have the infamous Sally Struther's episode. Does anyone have that on tape?
One of my favorites is the Terrance and Phillip Episode where Scott's deal with Saddam Hussein get's over his head. Saddam says,"I'm altering the deal, pray I don't alter it any further." and Scott says "This deal is getting worse all the time."
Another one is where Mr. Garrison faces himself in the Dagobah cave.

    Here's another one:

I was reading Essential X-Men vol. 1. In one of the issues, the X-men are taking some time off. Nightcrawler invites Colossus to go to Star Wars with him, and then they have a short conversation about how cool it would be if Nightcrawler's family were wookies.

As far as the South Park refs: I think it would be cool to put a bunch of them together on a tape and watch 'em. I don't think Erik and I are the only South Park fans in the club. Besides, most of the Star Wars refs are fairly clean. Hell, they showed the Chewbacca defense at Celebration I. It would be cool to do that with other shows, too. There are quite a few references in Futurama and the Clerks cartoons. Those shows are the ones I have easiest access to, so those are the first ones that spring to mind.

I totally vote for anything South Park. Because I live in what is considered the boonies now, I have to have Teton Wireless, and they have no freaking comedy central. I miss watching that show, so I saw South Park please, or...."screw you guys, I'm going home"

I have to say this one even though it's completely blantant, but it's also probably my favorite SW ref of all time:

Hooper X's "**** Lando Calrissian" monologue from "Chasing Amy". I get a smile just thinking 'bout it.

Who could forget Zurg's revelation in Toy Story 2 that he was Buzz's father?
