    From SirStevesGuide.com:

LucasArts plans to release two new Star Wars games for the Nintendo GAMECUBE. The first game will be Star Wars Bounty Hunter (also on the Playstation 2). In this game you get to play as the infamous Jango Fett as he tries to track down the leader of a mysterious cult. The second game to be released will be Star Wars: Clone Wars. As to date, little is known about this game. EGM will have coverage of Clone Wars in next month's issue.

Does anyone have any info on this? Could this be the rumored AOTC Factor 5 has been working on since finishing up Rogue Leader? What genre do you all think this is going to be?

Wahooooooo! I have a subscription to EGM!! Also, made by Factor 5 could be possible. It would be really awesome, they turned Rogue Leader into one of the best dogfight games, and they could make a ground battle game really well.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but I've read rumors that say it's based on F5's Thornado engine. Thornado is an original game Factor 5 has been working on since their N64 days, but keep postponing due to these pesky LucasArts contracts they keep getting. ;)
Anyway, Thornado is a 3-D, third person platformer/shooter much like their old SNES games. Maybe you could play as a Jedi, or maybe even as a clonetrooper blasting things around in Geonosis. They could also add flying levels using their Rogue Leader engine. I can't wait to find out what this game really is!

Yeah, I'm guessing that Clone Wars is the Factor 5 one, which really pleases me. They've done a great job with the SW license before, and they should do it again.

That information was actually in the press release issued a few days ago, covered on many many many gaming sites. How come you people only pick up on it when someone rehashed the press release into a paragraph?

I saw it as simply "Episode Two: Attack of The Clones" game. But, I find info on games when they come out most of the time, but I don't make a thread, I just respond to other threads.

PB, the last press release LucasArts put out was in regards to Bounty Hunter. I had not heard of Clone Wars before, they are two different games. Could you please post a link to any gaming site where this game is discussed? I can't seem to find any.

If they have a game about the Clone Wars on the GC I'm definitely getting it. Though I hope they don't try to somehow make it like Rogue Leader. Rogue Leader was my favorite game of all time, but they're going to have to think of something different.

One cannot trust EGM magazine this time of the year, I remember once they published a code for Battle for Naboo that 'unlocked' "JANGO FETT'S STARSHIP". They love april fool's jokes, GameNow's "Metal Gear Solid X" had me VERY fooled. They are quite good at it too, so beware!

Well, this info isn't on their April issue. Their April Fool's joke was the widely publicized "Unlock Sonic and Tails in Super Smash Bros. Melee" article.

I think LA and F5 should make it like Thrill Kill for PSOne. ;)

From EGM issue number 154, May 2002 (Resident Evil cover):

In their "Next month" page (120), in the little blurb on what's on the next issue it reads: Elsewhere in the mag, we take a good look at the games of Episode II, including Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox) and Clone Wars (GC).

Even though they are obviously wrong on KOTOR being an AOTC title, I guess this does confirm the existance of the Clone Wars game.

Their next issue is on sale May 7 (subscribers get it a couple of weeks early).

Uh there IS going to be a Metal Gear Solid X it's the exact same thing as MGS2 only for X Box.

And also my friend says you CAN unlock Sonic and Tails in SSBM and says he has done so.

Until I saw this, I was sure that Lucasarts was skipping out on all of the GC owners by only doing Rogue Leader.

Man, is this gonna be sweet :D

I'd like to see a AOTC game on my GameCube, but I'm not going to really believe it until I see something on Gamespot or something....EGM is all the time putting crap that isn't true.

LOL your friend is a liar. EGM had an article in their magazine that said you could unlock Sonic and Tails. But the article was an April fools joke.

    From IGN Cube...

March 21, 2002 - Publisher LucasArts today announced that it will bring a version of its upcoming next-generation title Star Wars Bounty Hunter to GameCube this fall. The game, which is based on events from the Episode I and II feature films of the same universe, will also see a release on Sony's PlayStation 2 console.

In Bounty Hunter, players are pitted as the feared mercenary Jango Fett, the father of the legendary Boba Fett, and are made to travel through his seedy world, interact with thieves and assassins, and more. Fett is on a quest to capture the leader of an evil cult and will stop at nothing to retrieve his bounty, even if it means competing against a brutal rival for the prize.

The title, a third-person action adventure, puts emphasis on intense combat across six, vastly different worlds and 18 levels. Fett does battle with the scum of the galaxy, including crime lords, corrupt politicians, enemies of various species, and of course a competitor from his own mysterious, clone-connected past. The intriguing character is armed with power weapons like dual blaster pistols, a flame thrower, missiles, and a unique jet pack that will be shown off fully in the new Episode II movie, which debuts later this year.

"Because of Boba Fett's amazing legacy Star Wars fans have been requesting a bounty hunter game from LucasArts for years," said Tom Byron, director of product marketing for LucasArts. "Star Wars Bounty Hunter will make their wait well worth it, delivering the intense, suspense-filled experience players want and expect. Like his legendary son, Jango Fett is mysterious and powerful. He's the ultimate anti-hero who defines much of what's cool about Star Wars."

Star Wars Bounty Hunter represents a new era in LucasArts development in that sister companies Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound are also contributing to it. ILM is creating the cut-scenes and other cinematics for the game why Skywalker Sound is behind the sound effects.

A video-teaser for Star Wars Bounty Hunter is available on the Star Wars Jedi Starfighter PS2 DVD-ROM.

Look for more on this very exciting product in the not too distant future.

At this stage it appears to only be for GBA and GameCube.

PS2 is getting "BountyHunter" and already has "Jedi Starfighter" as far as AOTC games go.

But, how exactly are we sure Bounty Hunter is a AOTC game. There has been no word of game play or plot. All the news is just that it involves Jango Fett.

    Here is the link here

    EDIT: Sorry, it says it takes place between EP1 and EP2. JP-30, you're just a little off. 8-}
