Could someone please explain the Star Wars CCG Rarity Rankings from Decipher? I have a starter set of cards from 1995 and am trying to understand the meanings of C1, C2, R1, R2, & U1, U2.

    Thanks!

Locking this since the question is answered

I don't really know, to tell the truth. My Collectors Wishbook lists the cards but doesn't explain the C1, C2 etc. We have a dedicated CCG Forum here and you might want to repost your question there. I will leave this thread open for a bit in case anyone else can answer the query.

having played SWCCG since 95', i remember the rarity tier went something like this:

R1 - 1 card printed per sheet (vader, han)
R2 - A lesser rare, at 2 per sheet (treadwell droid, myo)

The common and uncommon tiers followed the same scale - more or less. Instead of 1 uncommon (U1)per sheet, there were more than that, but I remember some of the Uncommons (U1) that were about as tough to get as rares were (Imp. Star destroyer/ blockade runner)

If you're thinking of value or selling, you'd be best to keep them. Pretty much any Decipher product now days seems to be worth nothing more than its sentimental value.

    Onward.
