Hi all! I noticed the existing RotS thread is only for XBox and PS2 so I made this one to discuss the DS game.

I have it; I love it. Big problem is how easy it is. It is only a challenge (and even then barely) on Master difficulty, and it is a stupid idea to have Master Mode only unlockable if you beat Jedi mode.

Aside from that, very enjoyable game. Excellent space combat graphics- for a handheld, they rock! The normal graphics are pretty good as well. It's surprising how much each character can do with so few buttons- 3 normal attacks, 3 parries, 5 or 6 Force Powers, and 4 special moves!

I have completed Obi-Wan mode and have to say that Anakin is the hardest boss in the game, as it should be. It's a great idea to have it that you fight for a while and when he is at half health you drop onto the moving platform!

I was also pleasantly surprised at how much stuff was shown ingame, rather than as a kind of slideshow- for example, Anakin telling Mace of the Chancellor's identity.

Speaking of which the Mace battle is probably my second favourite boss fight in the game- very enjoyable, though I'm not sure why. My favourite boss is actually Count Dooku, because when one of your characters is hurt you jump in as the other.

Then of course Dooku knocks out Obi-Wan and the ingame graphics go on to show Anakin executing Dooku. As I said, the starship combat is brilliant, although I really, really wish the first level had been all-starship combat above Coruscant.

One unusual feature is the fact that at the start of one Obi-Wan level you play as Anakin in his starship hunting Jedi for a bit- a new bit! But strangely in the Anakin one after you kill Mace you play the start of the next level as Obi-Wan trying to leave Coruscant for Utapau- even though Grievous is supposed to be dead and you have already played this exact same part in the Obi-Wan campaign!

Still, an excellent game, though I myself am now stuck, Anyone help me out?

I am on the Mustafar Lanmding Platform as Anakin against the AAT. I can deflect it's shots to destroy it's lasers, but the blue lasers don't deflect and the droid's blasts can't be either. Anyone know how to destroy the second laser cannon things?

I can't believe nobody has posted in this bitch yet. I picked up a copy myself and I love it. I haven't gotten far yet because I also bought the game for xbox and have been devoting my time to that. Good game though, I would've like more flying missions however.

Despite the early shots looking like crap...
Surprisingly fun, I am happy to say.

Got it yesterday with the xbox version only played
through the first level, due to the xbox version
owning me. Seems like it will be fun. Not sure about
the graphics though. The opening crawl looked like a
    bad spectrum game.

I just wish it wasnt just a GBA port and that they'ed
developed a DS version that was unique.

But hey you cant have everything :)

How do you beat the starship in the first level. The ship that shoots the little circle bombs at you?

You have to slash above you (Up and B) to damage it. Then it flies back on your level, so you need to jump over it. Do this about three times and it starts walking shooting lasers, which are really easy to dodge; so you just walk under it and hack upwards.

NOTE: I beat the game as both players in Master Mode! I have to say, the Anakin vs Obi-Wan fight is great!

How many hours of gameplay does the DS version provide. I have a DS, and my next game will be either ROTS or Polarium, which they say is awesome.

Not many unfortunately. Great game but by making the only even moderately difficult mode only available after you have completed the game in "moderate" (but still easy) mode is dumb.

I completed the whole game in 3 days, at a rate of about an hour a day maybe.

I have the game, beat it on every difficulty, with both characters, and am within 88% each of the levels(you get bonus points which raise your percentage), unlocked every ship. Superb game. Buy a DS.

If I remember correctly, you have to use the Force to toss the other droids that you kill. You toss their parts into the laser cannons after you kill them.

Beat both players, a fun game.

Though Meteos and Kirby:Canvas Curse are more interesting. RoTS DS is a GBA port with extra starfighter bits.

A great game on it's own, but not the game that showcases a DS' abilities.

Actually, that's an eariler AAT. The one on Mustafar has that grenade shooting crab droid. You have to Force Push the bombs back at the AAT.
