I know that there is a Episode VII already in production and there are probably a couple already made. Just a note I thought you'd like to know.

Secondly, you liked that false script? It has continuity errors all over it. A friend sent me the link and I couldn't read past the third paragraph. Write your own story, don't copy other's.

    Just a suggestion.

So what´s YOUR part in that film?

    EDIT:

By the way, there IS something to wait for. Which is the "Jedi" Series that takes place right after Episode III. Lucas already announced it.

Okay first off the things I'm about to say are not critism, it's constructive criticsm.

    1. I think if you are heading it, you should direct it.
    2. It better be good to be Episode 7 :)
    3. Make sure you are sticking to the story line!
    4. Make sure everything makes sense
    5. Make sure the actors are GOOD actors
    6. Make sure you are not contradicting the almighty Lucas in anyway

    I have spoken :)

Okay, you do know that SuperShadow is a fraud right? He is 100% bullcrap.

    P.S.
I once started writing a script based off of it once, but I changed a lot of things in the entire trilogy. Would you be interested in seeing the plot summaries I have?

Okay. Give us some detailed plans abotu what and how you´re going to do. You say you make it. Does that mean you will direct and produce it? Where do you get the money from? I mean- how big will this be? Like a real Star Wars film?

Seriously dude, you might want to try your hand at a SHORT film first. You may think some of the people here are being harsh . . . but it's only because there are those of us who have been around for quite some time and have seen far too many "I'm going to make a very professional FanFilm, but I need a script writer, director, effects artist, editor, etc, etc, etc.

Have you ever made a film before? Most people will lend a bit more credence to someone with some experience under his belt than someone who comes out and says "big FanFilm - need help." And no offense, but the fact that you are only 14 years old is a bit concerning as well insofar as a project of the magnitude yo are talking about.

Just some friendly "dose of reality" advice for you, that's all.

How old are you kid? Do you have the money for this? Do you have the team that it requires? Costumes? Props? Actors? Support from TF.N or any other fan film society? Look, I'll be 15 soon, but ever since I was 8, and I saw my first fan film, I have been at this day and night, and still I don't have the money, props, costumes, actors, support that I need. So, be serious about this. A 40 min Fan Film takes like 2 years, this will probably be like 1-2 hours, so how do you think to achieve this? If I had no projects, goals, and stuff right now, i would help you, but I'm through with trying to make epics and stuff like that, just make what you can doing the best you can, and build on from there.

    StevoDirector...

You are a fourteen-year-old boy. You want to 'make a movie' based on a badly-written 'plot synopsis' found on the site of a man who believes he is a personal friend of George Lucas and that he "scores" with too many women to count from all over the world on a daily basis. You're taking this thing to someone else to make into a script. Then you're going to ask someone else to make concept art of the entire thing. Then you want someone to choreograph all of your fight scenes. After all this, you want someone else to do all of your effects.

    Your part? Acting...and casting.

This is a picture of you in some 'fanart' you posted in the fanart forum.

    [image=http://www.freewebs.com/rivingtonproductions/VII.jpg]

    link

I'm curious...who do you plan on playing in this film that is "your's" but is made by everyone else.

I'm also sure that a fourteen-year-old boy is going to be very successful in casting classic characters like Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, and that you have it in your budget to actually produce this type of project.

    My advice:

Concentrate on making a small film. Work with what you have. Write it yourself and make it your own. Start small and work on your own level.

Become independent before you start those big ideas.

    My suggestion:

Write down your story. Write why you want to make this movie. Write an essay about what certain things will look like. Actually START something. Even if it is just to find out that you don´t really want to do this at all.

The problem of those "kids" starting their "ideas" is the following:

    1.
Kids see those big Action movies that show how to easily kill other people which makes them think they could do the same. Could be AS skilled as those super soldiers... as those super- romeos (in terms of convincing girls..) and those people who survive a T-Rex. They just tap in the trap - the movie illusion..

    2.
Kids see those big making of's of giant productions like Star Wars and are amazed that someone's sitting in a chair or at a desk, is writing some lines, is shouting some orders and there is actually SUCH a GIANT film being made for him! Now, they think "wow. being a director must be COOL!"

    3.
Kids see Star Wars fanfilms (such as Revelations or any of those "bigger" projects, you name them) and start thinking like "WOW! Those guys actually made a Star Wars film!" And they remember George Lucas sitting in a chair, commanding his film and themselves sitting in the cinema, in front of this giant "result".

    4.
Kids now believe that it must be pretty easy to do a Star Wars film and now they come here and seem to believe they were George Lucas Junior (just without money and experience). And this is the big illusion! Kids are not George Lucas!

So please, kid: Stop imagining you were George Lucas and could actually command people around the way he MUST and the way he CAN (because of money and experience).

So the point is: Becoming George Lucas is not easy. The problem is that you have no money (no time) and no experience. But just go ahead. Go ahead and at least TRY to be George Lucas for a week. You will experience that you just c a n n o t be George Lucas. It takes a lot of time, a lot of trial and error , a lot of pain, a lot of pencils and a lot of age to make such great projects come to life, finance them, coordinate them, be responsible for them and actually MAKE them.
    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    ------------------------------------------------------

Anyway. You haven't said what you were going to do for your movie, yet. Everything you did was "hey let´s make Episode 7". All you want to do is making the film.. but you do not want to write it, you don´t want to shoot it, not produce or finance or XZY-anything it.

Everything this whole thread mirrors for me is a fourteen year old's desire to watch Episode 7 one day. (Which is not a bad thing!) But the only way to achieve it seems to be asking others to make it for him.

    EDIT:

    Just for fairness:

When I was.. 12 I wanted to make Episode VII, myself. Of course (from this perspective) it is ridicolous.
But the essential thing that is different:

I actually wrote the story on paper. I still have it! It´s.. silly, but it is there :) I actually had ideas to put into it. I actually had (at least some) people who WOULD have helped me. I did NOT have the internet. I did NOT have a clue how to do ANY effect. But I had somehow... more practical unlaziness, which means that I actually did some things. I actually wrote the script, I actually built lightsabers, (well, it were colored wooden dowels), I actually had a camera, I actually built a little monster and an AT AT (wooden) that I tried to shoot frame by frame a... Stuff like that.. I actually DID something :-D

Today I could pull it off. But it doesn´t bother me anymore. I moved on and started my own ideas.
