I guess I would be third generation.... But as Martoto77 said, those are some strange demarcations you have there...

I'd really like to hear from the people born in 1877.

I know you're being facetious, but me too! Think of what someone who came of age during Theodore Roosevelt's administration thought of Star Wars!!!

i wouldn't include third generation and up as being the "bastardized" ones...
also, I wouldn't include it starting in the early 1990's
Like I didn't grow up on the prequels and was born in 2000... I was raised on the clone wars (and both trilogies quite honestly) and I know many fellow teens like myself that simply grew up on the clone wars.
and people in mine would have seen the Sequel trilogy in theatres...
the prequel generation is a totally different one... as mine didn't get to see them in theatres...

Just so everyone knows, I wasn't making a commentary on the prequel trilogy or the sequel trilogy when I said "bastardized." I was talking about the original trilogy only.

And you were actually making my case for me...you were born in 2000 and you said you and your friends were raised on the Clone Wars and the prequels. You agree!

Ahh yes but my point was that people born in 1992 till 2000 were more raised on prequels than clone wars content... we were more of two different generations...
as My generation of post 2000 don't tend to love the prequels as much as the 90's kids...

Okay, I see what you're saying. That's not big enough of a distinction though. Prequel trilogy and Clone Wars TV Show are both the same era, both in canon AND in real-life Star Wars history.

By birth year I'd be third generation (born 1994), but by definition I'm closer to a mix between second and third. I'd practically burned out my VHS tapes of the OT by the time The Phantom Menace was released, and I burned the VHS for that one out by the time Attack of the Clones hit theaters.

Born in 1997. Became aware of Star Wars in 2001. My brother had all TPM toys and we would watch TPM on VHS all the time. I was 5 when AOTC came out in 2002, and it was the only prequel movie I saw in theaters.

Still, I was too young to really process all of it. I always had a closet love for SW but wasn't really a huge fan.

When the Clone Wars multimedia project started in 2002/2003, I lost interest in Star Wars. I was more into Transformers.

I then saw the OT for the first time around 2004, and wasn't really impressed.

When I was 7, I was caught up around the hype of ROTS in 2005, I remember watching the last episodes of Clone Wars and ROTS became responsible for making me a Star Wars fan.

From there on out, I was about 11 when TCW started. My mom took my brother and I to the movie in 2008, and on Fridays, we would watch the show, never missing an episode from 2008-2012. By 2012 tho, I lost interest in SW all together.

It wasn't until 2014/2015, that my love for the franchise was rekindled.

As much as I would also like to read Theodore Roosevelt’s opinion of Star Wars, this thread is almost an exact copy of this one. So feel free to carry the discussion there.
