Fun little story for the first issue.
I'm guessing whatever Yarua hid in the stuffed doll has to do with the overarching story "hidden" in the series.

Also woo! Dark Horse is back!

RIP Senator Yarua, who - absolutely true story - I just incorporated into my SW RPG campaign (set in the canon continuity in 2 BBY) as a pivotal NPC. Serves me right for grabbing an obscure background character for my own use and assuming canon wouldn't immediately kill him off. [face_laugh]

Also, what happened to C-3PO? He's with Padme and the others at the beginning of the issue, then disappears entirely from the proceedings. He's not on Staggec, as Anakin and Obi-Wan investigate the area without finding him, but we don't see him later aboard the Separatist ship either. Presumably he's just being uncharacteristically quiet and standing off-panel during Padme and Anakin's rescue of Padme's funny-hat squad, but I thought it was worth noting.

Another fun little issue, very SW Adventures-like.
And I'm guessing the doll Leia had as a kid is the same one from issue 1, and we'll see that story in a future issue. The one in this issue looks different, so it might not be the same one.

Is Life Day annual in canon? It was every three years in Legends.

That preview had Glymphids! I love when they use the obscure pod race species.

It becomes annual after the Imperial Era, once it's been embraced by the wider galactic community.

Interesting, maybe because it's been adopted by species with shorter lifespans?

The Wookiee doll returns! Latest issue was a lot of fun, really leaned into Finn and Poe's bromance. I liked the pages with "montages" as they made their way through the train.

    Probably the usual suspects:

    Creative team illness
    Missed printing slot

So... How the Bounty Hunter Stole Life Day? lol

Seems like this is the final destination for the Wookiee doll, but we're only a third through the series, so plenty more twists and turns for it to take throughout the saga.

I wonder when this story takes place relative to "Ghosts of Kashyyyk" in the IDW series.

Judging by Rey's outfit this issue is probably shortly after TLJ and Resistance Reborn, while Ghosts of Kashyyyk is probably closer to TROS, sometime after Beaumont joins the Resistance.

I wonder if Viveen's father died during the "droid attack on the wookiees" in ROTS. Also, where's Malla? Did she die? Also, also, I wouldn't blame Lumpy if he partially blamed Rey for Life Day almost being ruined. Of course, he wouldn't mention it out of respect for his father.

Viiveenn's father is Senator Yarua, who died in Hyperspace Stories 1.

Ooo, so now there might be something Force-related to the Wookiee doll. Hope Palps doesn't get his hands on it.

Man this 12 issue anthology feels like a 36 issue long delay. I didn't like issue 5 and quite frankly the delay for me isn't justifying this comic at all. But that is just me.

OMG Rotta! Somebody's finally used him again.
That was a fun story, and we've finally gotten the origin for the Wookiee doll.

Kind of an in-between issue this week, but it has some good Boba action at least.
