    Hi there!

Well, we´re almost done with our German fan film and I uploaded 14 selected pics from the movie for your enjoyment.

For all of you who haven´t seen the WIP trailer or haven´t even heard of this movie (the majority I guess...), this is a parody and plays on earth here today. We expect the movie to be finished by end of this month or beginning of november.

Just head over to SW: Invasion temporary website and click on the "select pic".

Hope you like the shots, comments are welcome.

Isn't it amazing how fast the Empire can rebuild a Death Star these days. ;) :p

    Looking good, guys. :)

VERY nice 3d, there Heth...Ive been following this movie ever since u introduced it (I remember the thread). I even made a fake opening crawl pic of it the first time i heard of it, but didnt post it. I dont know German, so i think that it involved words such as "volkswagen" and "rammstein." This is turning out very well. Are you still doing that speeder scene from the back of ur car?

Hey Neszis, didn´t know you´re watching our back, man ;)

Yes, there will most likely be a short speeder scene (and it will be filmed from the back of our car indedd) in the finished movie. Oh and there won´t be any Volkswagen or Rammstein in it at any time ;)

WhisperingDeath: Thanks for checking out the pics! Actually the AT AT is not transparent, it might seem so in this particular shot but in motion you´ll see that this is not the case.

JediTAC: The allmighty Lord Of The Critics (j/k) commented on my movie. Give me five minutes I´ll go out celebrating! Hehe. Well a re-built Deathstar is not the only thing the Empire has to offer in our movie.

Adam: If you like that traffic light, you´ll like the whole scene involving it!

You see, making this movie a parody really gave us some neat stuff to spoof. Let´s just say that the Star Wars Universe will be shown as never seen before.

But still I´m facing a huge problem which might make the internet release of this movie impossible. Neszis might remember this, I mentioned in the first thread a few months ago, that we´re using some original material (some of the nice spoofs depend on these scenes). And I know by heart that this is nothing good to show on the internet. But neither we have the 3D possibilities to re-create the needed scenes in CGI nor do we have the time or money to get us a Vader Costume.

Although this movie is a parody, I still think it´s quite a risk to release it on the internet with those scenes in it. The least thing I want to accomplish is to pi$$ off either one of the fellow people here on the board nor do I want any trouble with Mr. Star Wars himself (as if...).

But we´ll decide on that upon finishing the movie. Till there´s still some work to do.

Well thanks for the comments so far, I hope to receive some more input from you guys here! Without this forum I won´t be so far with my movie, that´s for sure.

Heth, I can almost guaruntee you that using original material will not get you in trouble with board members or "Mr. Star Wars." Which is his real name, of course. Mister Star Wars. Anyways, there have been many fanfilms using original footage, and I have never heard of Mister Star Wars shutting any of them down. BUT! There is no chance of you getting on TFN if it has original footage. Sorry!

Pink Five uses original footage, and it it hosted at TFN.

Or, I could be wrong. But I've watched the film a few times, and I don't see how they did it without using original footage.

I guess you didn't consider the guy could just be that good?!

I, for one, think that there was no original footage in P5 or else it would not have been hosted.

I do wonder about original footage in Pink Five, simply because many of the shots we see through the windows look very similar to shots in the OT...

Not that I'm slamming Pink Five though--I LOVE the flick!

EDIT: To prove a point -- Jabba on the Dais and Wookie both use original footage, and Jabba on the Dais is on my list of favorite fan films. :) ALSO, they're hosted on TFN...

I knew someone would point that out. Back in the old days, we had a discussion about this. Music Videos are the exception. So HA!

Wow, hey thanksfor all your comments! Glad you don´t consider it too bad if we use some OT material. We wouldn´t if this won´t make a good spoof. Anyway, I know that we won´t get hosted by TFN when using that material, but it shouldn´t be a problem as I already found someone to host our movie when we´re done.

Allright you helped me a lot!
