In a story set prior to the events of the upcoming video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, two Jedi will find themselves in a battle for their lives.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – Dark Temple, a five-issue Marvel miniseries that will lead into the highly-anticipated game from Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm, was revealed today. Written by Matthew Rosenberg (Uncanny X-Men and The Punisher) and illustrated by Paolo Villanelli (Vader: Dark Visions), the tale follows Jedi Master Eno Cordova and his impulsive Padawan Cere Junda — on a seemingly simple mission that becomes much more dangerous. The Jedi Council sends the pair to the remote planet Ontotho to oversee the excavation of a mysterious temple; on Ontotho, dueling forces of local resistance and ruthless security troops clash in a war for the fate of the planet, with the Jedi caught in the middle. Get a first look at the cover below!

“Working on the Jedi: Fallen Order comic has been a great experience,” Rosenberg tells StarWars.com. “Respawn and Lucasfilm are not only creating one of the most exciting video games in a long, long time, but they’re also telling a truly epic Star Wars story. So having the chance to introduce audiences to some of the game’s cast, and explore a bit of who they are and how they got where they are is really fun. Cere Junda and Eno Cordova are a pair of Jedi that fans are definitely going to want to know more about, and this comic will tell you part of their story you won’t get anywhere else.”

“What’s more fun than working on a new Star Wars book?” says Villanelli. “Well, the answer is working on a new Star Wars book exploring a completely new part of the franchise. As a video game lover I was super excited to be part of the new Fallen Order game, and as an artist I was thrilled to explore and create a part of it for the comics. Besides our titular heroes Cere and Eno, we’ll get a chance to show new planets, villains, and some good old lightsaber action.”

Dark Temple, developed in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm, kicks off with issue #1 in September. Featuring Cere, a major figure from the game along with more elements from the forthcoming action-adventure, the series promises to enrich the experience of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order arrives November 15 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and is available for pre-order.

It actually looked like actor Tony Amendola to me. He's actually a great actor so I'm assuming he's in Fallen Order game somewhere aside from just a blatant likeness steal. (Not impossible, though, that's how Samuel L Jackson became Nick Fury due to Ultimates comic)

EDIT: or screw it, it could be F. Murray Abraham and we're in for a real surprise!

The character's name is "Evo Cordova," so I assume the intent is that he look like Amendola or Elizondo. I'm also calling that the Dark Temple is the ruins we see in the trailer and in the teaser art.

I'm guessing this is pre TPM going by Cere's age, she's young and in the game she alot older. Be fun to read this, maybe a few cameos in this.

The Star Wars Show has a news item on this, and gives a few plot details as well as confirming something about the timeframe: it's set
    decades
    before the game.

Is it me, or this is way further into the timeline than "shortly after the events of Episode III"? I mean, TIE Interceptors and all.

And now, a very Bly-esque musing.

Given the presence of the Purge troopers and the proximity to ROTS, I wonder if Commander Atty is a Fett-clone. That certainly sounds like a trooper nickname but without him taking off his helmet we'll never know. :(

The Databank says the Interceptor was first used in 3 BBY, but I have the feeling that will be (or now has been) overturned; Pablo spoke recently about no longer needing to only have ROTJ ships show up post-ANH (citing the A-wing as an example), so canon isn't really following the idea that these ships were late additions to the Empire.

The ones in the Vader comic were clones, at least.

To me, Master Eno looks a bit like Tony Amendola (Edward Kagome from Continuum, among other roles).

So know that we know that the Second Sister does speak (and she can be quite eloquent), I wonder why there's no reveal on her voice actor yet. Is it a recognizable name (in the VG/anime circle or SW fandom at least) or could the casting reveal give away her real identity.

I picture her have a British accent: River Song with a metallic tinge.

    Then there's these two examples:

    Star Trek: Into Darkness

Pre-Release: "Benedict Cumberbatch's villain is going to be to Abrams Trek what the Borg were to TNG. We can't tell you who he's playing yet, but we can say that it's definitely NOT Khan."
    Finished Film: He is Khan.

    Spectre
Pre-Release: "Christoph Walz is playing our bad guy. While he is definitely part of the modernized version of SPECTRE, he is definitely NOT Blofeld."
    Finished Film: He is Blofeld.
