A/V Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order + Survivor

I've noticed that a fondness for Greco-Roman names in more recent material (hence the slightly altered spelling). I think the Legends GI was named Malorum, but that sounds an awful lot like Valorum.

 

Oh, of course! I just assumed it was autocorrect... I meant that Torbin is my favorite Grand Inquisitor of the legends ones.

By the way, I would love to get the Grand Inquisitor in this game, even if just a cameo. Sixth and Tenth are gone by this time, but I would love to see realistic versions of all the others, (looking at you, Fifth Brother!)...

 

with this new little novel of the grand inqusitor kidnapping children for project harvester and other things for his emperor. I think it is heavily likley he'll show up in this game, but it'll remain as a secret util the game shows up. Like Battlefront 2 used canon from aftermath and the comics and other canon. Fallen Order will use canon from TWC,Rebels espcially and other canon. We know we see The Gand inqusitor is one of the tepmle guards in the clone wars and he's the leading dark wizard in Rebels. I think a boss battle with him where you escape or die.

 

Expect it to be spoiled +/- 24-48 hours before the game's release.

 

I'm up for force illusion boss battles conjured up by some ancient Force temple similar to what happened in Rebels.

We hear the Vader breath in the second trailer as Cal walks into the Temple, so I figure this is probably how Vader makes his cameo. An early scene of him issuing orders to the Inquisitors, then Cal fights a Force illusion of him in the Temple.

 

I bet in the end scene we have the other inqusitors mesagging the grand one with holoigram or he does it with Vader. and from the end of the first game the grand inqusitor wil be the big bad. Vader should only have these small cameos and let the inqusitors take on these padawans.

 

So there is something coming out that tie's in to the game besides the comic book?

 

When I saw this first glancing through the thread, I thought you were going to argue that the Second Sister was a genderswapped Kyla Katarn...

... which would be hillarious. And brilliant. And the fanbase would probably respond to the whole thing in a completely offbeat way, "oh, cool, so this is a multiverse", rather than anything else...

Darth Maul cameo?

 

Tons of interesting stuff in the new gameplay.
I love that that when you down an AT-ST the driver comes out, hopefully there are more ground vehicles to fight in this game.
I appreciate the differentiation of enemy variants through pauldrons. A red pauldroned missile trooper appeares here, and a blue pauldroned rotary cannon trooper appeared in the previous one; I wish this differentiation sticks to canon.

Why are they setting the bar so low? Why not Dark Forces? Republic Commando?

 

Because Force Unleashed was the last big Single Player Star Wars game people remember and was Jedi Centric.

And at this point considering this is a EA we just need something Solid...Not groundbreaking not revolution...Just solid...especially after the Battlefront 2 debacle

 

Because it's nothing like those games, it appears to combine elements from Dark Souls, Metroid-like exploration, and Zelda-like puzzle solving. Which is a good fit for padawan treading ancient temples.

 

I really like the way they are treating the Force too.

I'm in the camp that video games have sorta corrupted the way people view the Force in the long term.
