    Hi all,
I am feeling unusually needy right now. It has to be something to do with the fact I haven't seen ya'll in a couple months and that was the last time I have truely geeked out.
No that that has anything to do with why I am writing this topic... may be it is and the rest of this message is one big cry for help and attention....

Does anyone of ya RPG? (play role playing games?) I have been looking at getting back into the local Vampire LARP but after what happened I have been a little tepid about the whole thing.
West End games a long time ago put out a couple of maunals for how to run a Star Wars based live action role playing game, and I was wondering if any one would be interested in getting something going.

I know quite a few people who play the Vampire LARP.

I've never done any live-action RP'ing, but I do enjoy sit-down RPGs. The only current game I'm in is a d6 SW game, at least when the GM decides to run it (I would clear my throat and glare at him pointedly, but I don't think he's on these boards. :p Just kiddin' anyway, Dave!). Speaking of which....anyone have any suggestions for how a group of Rebels can sneak onto Coruscant? It's not long after the Battle of Hoth. Check my profile and e-mail me!

I've seen the SW LARP books every so often on E-bay. I would like to try it out, but my weekends are booked until mid-March.

It's quite simple. You go to an Imperial farmworld, and hide in a shipment of crops. Then, the only tricky part is explaining to the Rodian Chef that you're not on the menu.

I LARP occasionally, but I mostly do Cthulhu Live...not the "weird" stuff like the Vamp LARPs LOL! (last GENCON I think they were running from us.)

Cthulhu Live ain't for the timid or faint of heart.

I'd also love to get back into RPG'ing. I basically just play once a year at GENCON and that's it. So I'm for D&D, Star Wars, GURPS, Star Frontiers(j/k)...whatever. If someone else with GM, I'm game.

BTW...what happend with the Vampire LARP that made you tepid. I hadn't heard anything. Just curious.

428, you weren't doing the live-action Pokemon or the Pokethulu games at GenCon, were you? ;)

Even though I've never RPed before (almost played D&D in middle school) I'll give it a shot. It sounds very interesting, indeed.

Gita... remind me to crush your skull the net time I see you.
I played Vampire the LARP to the point where it was a integral part of my lifestyle. Kinda got away from it a while ago. I am going to dig out the books and set up a senario or two. I'll add a page to my site this wekend for character sheets and some rules. We'll see what happens after that.

Thumper: nope....but I saw the Pokethulu T-Shirts and they were good for a laugh. No..I was part of the wacko group running around with the video camera trying to catch the Delta Green government cover up guys try to stop the Cult of the Yellow Sign....who were trying to bring back Hastur or something...

Needless to say....since I was carrying the camera...I ended up in a nice Blair Witch Style Death....

Well, if anyone is looking for the books, I can see what I can do. I run a comic/gaming/sci-fi store in Ocala and can see about getting info about the SW LARP.

Hello Orlando! We have an ongoing RPG in Ft. Lauderdale. If any of you are interested in joining us we would be glad to have you. Lord.Gita, I know you live here, so come and check us out. We have a gaming session scheduled for next month at Lost Realms( a comic book and gaming store) in Boca Raton. I will get back to you guys with the exact date. It would be a lot of fun if our groups could get together. Correction: our gaming sessions are scheduled for Sunday April 21 and Sunday July 14. Our Gamemaster is also putting together character development nights all through March, so get in touch with me if you are interested.

I played a Star Wars LARP once at OASIS. There were only two other players and the GM, but I won a trophy for my portrayal of a force sensitive Wookie....

And as far a sneeking Rebels onto Coruscant. Capture an Imperial cargo vessel that is due at Coruscant in a few days. Have a human on your crew (ex-Imperial preferably) to stand-in as the ship's Captain or XO. Once the ship is past the planetary sheilds, The snub fighters hidden inside can shoot out and make for the lower levels of the city.
