Saga Star Wars names - Best & Worst

Simply name two characters from the whole movie series, one with what you consider the best name, and the one that you consider the worst


Best - Boba Fett (just the sound of it - I like how it sounds like an cod-anglicised Cajun name - Beau B'afette

Worst - Biggs Darklighter - Painful mash up of cliched WWI figher ace and cliched pretentious fantasy/comic character

 

Best - Orson Krennic

Worst name - Luke Skywalker

 

Didn't like "Fett" so much. In German it means "grease" or "fat". (But then again Johnny Depp wouldn't be popular there as well, as his last name means "moron")
Best: no idea, but Yoda (actually a real Japanese surname), Skywalker, Darklighter, Palpatine, Sidious and Dooku all sound fine to me
Worst: Greedo ("greedy"?), Jabba, Binks ("Mr. Binks" ), Mace (repetition of that kid in Ewok Adventure).... but I'm sure I'll find more
Generally I don't like one-syllable names, unless they really exist, like Luke

Worst - Sheev Palpatine (surname is OK, first name is terrible). Savage Opress is awful too

Best - There are a lot of great ones. Mon Mothma maybe?

Are those in the movies?

 

No. Is that against the rules? I figured it was fine, because plenty of people were naming characters outside of the films.

 

There aren't really any rules. I put movie names specifically in the OP so that I'd have a point of reference.

I see a couple of people have mentioned two other characters that I don't recognise from the movies. Yours were just the most recent.

 

Best: Darth Vader

Worst: Yaddle

 

What's wrong with Yaddle already?

 

Best for me is Jabba the Hutt, perfect name to describe the character. The name just fits. Honorable mentions to Darth Vader, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Wedge Antilles.

Worst for me is easily Count Dooku which is a play on Count Dracula. A character Christopher Lee has played before. Absolutely hate it. Dishonorable mentions go to Jar Jar Binks, Aunt Beru (very generic), and Mon Mothma (sounds too much like Mom Mothra - Mothra from the Godzilla movies).
