    Are there any numbers seen in the Classic Trilogy?

    Are they the same as Roman numerals?

    especially the countdown, though not of minutes/seconds, on the big screen when they're approaching Yavin 4?

    and the obvious-but-still-somehow-elusive 94 on that Mos Eisley docking bay

    Are they like these; 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10?

    On the targeting computer in Luke's X-wing, the distance numbers keep scrolling down.

    I kind of dislike the concept of the GFFA having a non-western alphabet but nevertheless using the same numerals we do, but meh, I guess countdowns the audience can actually read on things like the screen on the Death Star are important for dramatic storytelling.

    1138 is also used as the number of the "prison block" that Chewie is being "transferred from" in ANH.

    I also heard on a radio interview that when Luke and co. are in the trash compactor and they survive just in time Luke reads off the trash compactor number and that number is supposed to be Mark Hamill's social security number or something.
