I am most likely going to be adopting a little kitten in the next few days. She is a tuxedo kitty (black with white paws).

I know some of you already have SW names for your pets and wanted one for her.

I would be interested in hearing some of your suggestions for her.

    :D

I doubt that this will be much help as I have only named two pets in my entire life. All others were named by parents, brothers, sisters, and my sons and boy did they pick some winners. ;) At any rate I had a grey cat named Gandalf and a black dog named Falkor.

I always think cats should have either very cute names or very haughty ones. Of course, I have a friend who has two cats named Lando and Palpatine. Anyway, cat names, uh, well, how about Mara Jade? Did anyone say that already? I think that would be a fine name.

how about Corde....she was dressed in black and white *snickers*

Knowing you, though, Karen, and knowing much you love Queen Amidala, why not name her Amidala or Padme? It's very fitting :D

Wasn't there a princess that either Jake Lloyd's sister or one of the lucas girls played in Episode I? Maybe name her after one of them, since you're the Queen.

    Boba Catt
    Jango Catt
    Darth Claw
    Grand Muff(in) Tarkin

It doesn't have to be a cute girly name.

I did alittle searching and here's what I found...

    Lexi -
One of the initial members of the Loyalist Committee, Senator Dio represents a peaceful agri-world known for a strong streak of independence from big government. To that end, she was believed to have been against the Military Creation Act vote, as most of her citizenry felt that such an act would place too much power at the disposal of the Republic government.

    Agira (Nyrat Agira)-
A lithe beauty decked in fashionably impractical wardrobe of soluble zoosha fabric, Agira wears her hair tall in curving solloop style. Like many of her age, she adorns herself in superficialities meant to catch the eye of a potential mate -- or a potential mark. Her iris colors are surgically altered to a less mundane hue, and her cult tatoo on her abdomen betrays her spiritual devotion, or at least denotes yet another passing trend.

    Rystáll-
Most visitors to Coruscant never see the undercity, a shadowy sector of the megalopolis eclipsed by the far-reaching skyscrapers. In these darkened regions, even the long arm of Imperial law seldom reaches. It was here that the young girl named Rystáll was raised. An abandoned half-breed, the result of a human father and unknown alien mother, Rystáll was cared for by adoptive Ortolan parents who eked out a living as musicians. Rystáll joined their performances as a dancer.

    And Jira.

Of course you could always go the Disney route again! ;) And go with Bubbles for Cobra Bubbles. ( He wears a tux ) [face_laugh]

Anywho - Good Luck in naming your new family member! :)

Thanks to everyone for your input, but after careful deliberation, I decided to name my new little bundle of joy: Barriss

I know that rhymes with Dawn's kitty's name, but that was totally unintnentional. Not only is Barriss a kick-butt jedi chick, but she has a special gift for healing.

    :D

    Barris...Eris.....Barris...Eris.... ;) Too cute.
(stray thought) Haley has a brand new best friend, now. Her name is Bailey. Haley..Bailey...Haley...Bailey. hehehe :D

Hey K - remember that preggo mom cat I'm fostering for Southside? She had her litter last month - 5 kitties!! 4 lil' ladies,
1 little boy. They are ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!
They are so darn cute. Total furballs, and every one of them affectionate and adorable beyond belief. I hate the thought of having to turn them in a few weeks. :(

Anyone want a kitty cat.....? :D

A California Zinfadel goes quite nice. The sweet aromatic wine balances out the flavor of the cat.

I never thought I'd read on our forums about what wine goes with eating cat. In anticipation of the mighty Ban Hammer, I won't even mention the most common w(h)ine is "I went first last time!If you want me to do that again, you owe me!"

    What???

I'm a rebel squadron leader, not an interpreter droid! How was I supposed to know that the word "cat" didn't have the same meaning???

As previously stated, the subject of 'feline quisene' (sp) could be upsetting to our cat friendly people & is slightly off topic (although, I'd prefer a Crown Royal & coke myself). I believe the topic was NAMES for cats, not recipies for cats. Let's get back on topic, shall we???

There has been no mention of "feline cuisine" being upsetting to some people on this thread. Cat is a common food in some parts of our planet. I'm sure that those from Easter Island find our eating of rabbit to be upsetting.

I won't even go into the topic of "Veer's Venison".

And let us not mention an entire religion that finds us cruel for "2 all holy creature, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun."

I would hope those would find the cat references "a little demented, but funny". Would I personally eat a cat? Never - without a good holandaise sauce.
