Full Series Star Wars Rebels Blu-ray news/discussion

Google Fu has failed me.

Of course, Disney could just be being Disney. They haven't done DVD/Blu-s for the seasons of Avengers Assemble or Ultimate Spidey either.

 

Yeah, no news worries me. I hope they don't go down that path. I was hoping someone would ask during a QA if it'll be released, but nope. Disney did release TCW Lost Missions, but that was probably in service to the other seasons.

 

If only they'd release season 6 in the UK. Sigh....

 

I think it's too early for an announcement. Past TCW DVD/blu-ray releases were announced around late July with an October release. Star Wars sells on home video, and Disney would be foolish to pass up a home video release. Also, Dave seems to support home video releases so I wouldn't worry. Rebels season 1 is one of the few Star Wars TV/movies that Disney now has under their belts and I'm sure they want to make some money off of it.

 

Maybe they'll announce a DVD/Blu-Ray release date at Star Wars Weekends.

 

Wonder if a season one boxset would include spark of rebellion complete with Vader prologue scene?

 

That scene really didn't work as a prologue. It should have been an epilogue.

 

I wonder if a box set would include Bad Batch.

 

The full Spark of Rebellion and short films are likely, especially for a blu-ray release given they've only been on DVD and the extended version has only been digital.

 

Well Blu-ray.com has a listing for season 1 of Rebels, so maybe it'll come after all.

 

A blu-ray.com listing does not mean an official release. Several yet to be announced titles have had pages.

 

I'm thinking that this is likely the case. They probably want to save at least some news for other Star Wars events.

hey wait a minute the extended Spark of Rebellion with the Vader has not been released on iTunes an I know since I have the original one. I also hope that if a blue ray set comes out that they include Bad Batch in it.

 

Agree. I'm dying to edit season one into 2 movie-length features.

 

I'd love to see bonus CW content as a hidden easter egg! Without anymore CW releases planned, it would be cool to have those animatics on physical media.

 

Count me among the growing number of fans who very much want to see a Rebels Season 1 blu ray release which includes the following:

1. The "Spark of Rebellion" film, complete with the Darth Vader scene.

-and-

2. The "Bad Batch" animatic story arc.

 

i wouldn't be surprised if we saw a dvd release sometime around october or november. cause when TCW Season 1 ended in March of '09, the first season wasn't released until November of '09

 

I think they should release it on September 4th, Force Friday. Would tie in great IMO. I just wish they'd give us some sort of confirmation...

 

Also add bad batch and some BTS

I know Bad Batch was TCW, but...

But I don't care!

Find a way to get us that BB arc on any Season 1 Rebels package, Lucasfilm!

 

I haven't been able to watch Rebels yet...I was counting on the dvd being released! It would be great if they could include the Bad Batch arc as well.

 

I'm hoping they have the Movie: Spark of Rebellion and the shorts as extras as well.

 

Just pray Disney releases this with proper audio: ie. DTS-HD MA 5.1.
