Star Wars Saga Forum - Banner Contest (Congrats to odj_310388)

Announcing another Star Wars Saga Banner Contest!

We are taking submissions for a banner for the Saga Forum. It has to be a banner that in some way shows a link between all the films in the Saga. We also encourage that if you decide to create your own stylesheet, be sure to use plenty of color. We are taking submissions from October 14th to November 15th.

There will be only ONE winner. The winning banner will be chosen from a panel of moderators and will be applied to the Saga Forum as soon as a winner is announced.

Final entries have to be sent to Spike_Spiegal or ObiWan506 by PM.

It's about time Saga got a new banner. I'm looking forward to seeing the entries submitted to this one. Good luck to anyone and everyone that enters.

 

Me too. And depending on how many entries we get, we might have enough to have a continual rotation of banners in Saga. That way we'll never have to stay on one banner for too long.

Hm... I would enter... But I have one question. How do you make a style sheet like that? Do I make a new website or something? Is there some kind of default style sheet that I can take and edit?

I think it's coming along very nice.

 

I would like to enter too. Where will I find good quality pics for making banners since I am sick of making screencaps

 

I always just used Google. But I'm sure there are other websites out there.

 

I think that banner looks really nice. I like the images inside the words. Very nice indeed.

Can you put the original banner up for consideration?
The one made by staffer Lord Mauly Mall when the forum was first opened?

 

I remember that one. It was the large Vader helemt image with the eyes. It was really good.

 

That was by far the best banner Saga had... no offense to anyone else.

Sure. As I said above we'll most likely have a rotation set up. We can always add that to the rotation.

 

Considering Saga has had only two banners...

Also I wanted to point out, if you have a banner but no stylesheet, that's okay. The stylesheet is one of the easiest things to complete. So if you don't have one, it's not the end of the world.

 

Also, a reminder. Do not send your final entries to Spike ... send them to me only. Spike is on a business trip and will not receive anything you send to him.

 

I was unexpectedly away for the weekend and it looks like I won't be able to get a submission in after all. Oh well, may the best banner win!
