This book is a excellent source for getting a better idea of all the different drafts The Star Wars Movies have gone thru and still go thru! You can really see how many ideas have been stretched over all the movies and even if they didn't make it to film, are apparent in the games, books, comics or other SW Multimedia stuff. Lots of quotes from George Lucas!

I have the Annotated Screenplay for The Phantom Menace. I don't refer to it much, though.

There was an illustrated screenplay for TPM, but I'm not aware of an annotated TPM screenplay.

The Annotated Screenplays book is a great resource, though. You can get some glimpses at how Lucas has changed the story of Star Wars over the past few decades, as well as the evolution of each individual trilogy story. ROTJ offered the best insights.

I just got the Annotated screenplay for the original screenplays and it is fascinating. The structure, drafts and refinements truly show what a genius Lucas is.

I agree, these are very nice sources to refer to when wanting information directly derived from the movies. It's a nice call to make them available, and I agree that it shows Lucas's brilliance and thought process when it comes to all of the films. :)

Ken Kenobi- And you have a nice day ;)

I've checked it out from the library before... I enjoyed them, even though I didn't get through much of it.
