Three would be my guess. He had his one in Ep 1 but that was tossed down the pipe, then he had his in Ep 2 but it was confiscated, then he had his one in Ep 4.

Xanatos was Qui-Gon's apprentice before Obi-Wan. He turned to the Dark side, since then Qui-Gon denied his earlier successes with Padawan's. So it is unknown who else he trained.

I'm not sure what system they were in but they were on the planet Ansion.
